  • A Classroom With Autonomy!

    This resource has given my students a feeling of belonging within the classroom. I have been allowing some flexible seating within the classroom and they are loving it. My students use these during math time and during small groups. Having a classroom that the students felt they belong in was important to me because they went through a tough time in the beginning of the year by having many different teachers in and out of the classroom before I was hired.

    When they saw them, they were really excited for them. The flexibility of being able to sit in the classroom wherever instead of always at their desks really intrigued them. Seeing them use them on a daily basis has been so wonderful.

    We are currently learning fractions, which is mainly what our state test is on. Soon we will be doing test prep and I hoping these will help them with motivation as I plan on adding an incentive to use these for testing.”
