Funded Nov 30, 2021First I would like to say Thank you! Your contributions went a long way. Many of the students expressed their gratitude for the new books added to the library. Some of the books were introduced as additional resources to expand their understanding of topics such as, water pollution, physical science, life science and processes; as well as topics for students to develop solutions for change.
To incorporate Science Literacy, students were often given the option to read independently after they've completed tasks or assessments. Often students may request/sign-out books for leisure reading - many have shared their interests in "You Should See Me in a Crown."
The students who have expressed interest were often struggling readers. While encouraging Science Literacy, students were more interested in books they could relate to. We are grateful for your support and for you to be apart of this initiative, as we tackle Literacy.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Eve
