  • Back to School With Social Emotional Learning!

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation! Students have loved every item in this project. Beginning with the books, students have learned how to identify their emotions, talk about them, and cope with their feelings. In addition, the circle time chart has been a great implementation of our morning meeting. Students use the chart to reference their numbers, letters, and rhyming words. Overall, this project has been a great asset to the classroom and our student's learning! they are enjoying every bit of it! Thank you.”

  • We Are Engineers!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for providing our classroom with such great technology! We have been able to do so much. We have used the machine to label a lot of our resources and supplies in the classroom and many other things. But the main reason we wanted the machine was to create core memories and learning experiences for our students. We are currently on our first projects. Our students are using the machine to create a science book. The machine has helped us make the title for the book as well as stickers and other decorations students will put in their books. We will continue to use the machine to bring students' work to life and continue to make learning fun.”

  • Teachers' Tools To Help Us Bloom!

    Funded Nov 22, 2022

Thank you for helping us out with this project. One of the most important things in a classroom is making sure the teacher has the resources to plan and deliver instruction. Our classroom has great multimodal and engaging resources all because of you! We try our best to create an organized and welcoming environment where our students feel comfortable and content. Therefore, making sure that we keep our classroom neat, organized and culturally responsive is very important to us. There resources helped us create routines and habits so that our students have access to the supplies in the classroom such as construction paper, notebooks, pencils etc.”

  • A "Just Right" Classroom Library!

    Funded Jan 28, 2022

We are grateful for your donations. The books have been such a great resource in our classroom. The leveled books specifically have been used for guided reading during small groups and we have seen such a huge progress and growth in our students. They have been using the books to learn comprehension strategies and develop their reading skills. We are truly excited of the overall growth and improvement we have seen in our students since we have been using these books. Thank you all so much for being the primary reason for this success!”

  • Learning Centers: We Learn Through Play!

    Funded Oct 15, 2021

The students and I are so grateful for your donations. All the resources have impacted the students in so many ways. The first thing was receiving the packages, the smiles and excitement on their faces were priceless! They had the chance to open some of the items after I took them out of the box and they were just full of joy as they observed all the new centers and resources they were going to have access to. Eventually, as we introduced the centers during "play" time, I automatically saw how these learning centers were reinforcing all the material I was covering during class. One of the most useful centers has been the alphabet tubs. This year students are really struggling with letters and letter sounds and that center has made a huge impact and has helped them develop so many vocabulary words as they play and interact with one another. In general, all of the materials donated have helped these students develop their math and literacy skills. I am confident that my students will continue to use these centers and learn many more skills through play. We are extremely thankful and happy for your contribution. Our classroom is a better, more creative, and fun place because of you! Thank you!”

    Ms. Estevez

As kindergarten students, the children in my classroom benefit from hands-on activities that allow them to practice the skills learning during instruction. For literacy, these centers will be used during "small group" to reinforce vocabulary and phonemic awareness. My students are bilingual and need visuals and engaging activities that will help them learn letters and sounds better. "The Sounds Tubs" has visuals of each letter. Students can use this center to practice letter sounds and vocabulary as they see the picture cards inside the tubs. For math instruction, the centers chosen are also helpful because my students will get to practice counting and 1-1 correspondence as they play and complete each center. The magnetic board is a compliment for math instruction. During small groups, students need to receive explicit instruction of what the teacher is saying. This magnetic board will allow me to use magnetic counters and other resources to teach math concepts as I differentiate instruction for my students.
