Funded Sep 21, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity. My students and I are so grateful for these wobble stools. Each of them look forward to the day when it's their turn to use it. I even use it myself every once in a while when working with students. I highly recommend this wobble stool for adults and childrens. These stools not only help student get out their wiggles, but it also promotes a healthy posture which really improves their attention span! We love that the height of the stool is adjustable to accomomdate students of all sizes. Thank you again for your support!”

Funded Dec 17, 2021My stunned and amazing students were pleasantly surprised by your generous donations. Our students were extra responsible and careful about our new resources. We were much better with using our glue stick wisely, meaning we replaced the cap accordingly and we just used what we needed without going overboard. Students enjoy the freedom of roaming about the room to learn and the clipboards were such a huge help to their learning. Students also enjoyed many art projects that needed permanent markers for details. Thank you again for being a part of our classroom!”

Funded Aug 23, 2021We were very fortunate at the start of this school year to recieve more books for our library from our district. However, I did not have enough self space for these amazing books. I asked and you all stepped up to the challenge to help these amazing students easily access more resources. Thank you all so much for your contribution. We are so grateful for our supportive community. Students have been able to find books with ease and were so excited to be the first to read and find books off this new shelf. Thank you again for all of your help.”

Back to School Basic Supplies
Funded Aug 5, 2021Thank you so much for your contributions! Our students were super excited to not only be back in person, but were glad to have materials ready for learning. Many students' family faced hardship at this time and were very overwhelmed with supplying materials for school. They also felt a sense of relief and appreciation for the materials you were able to help provide.
On the first day of school students walked into a warm and inviting classroom with notebooks, pencils, slider boxes, and other materials ready for them. They were nervous with a new school year during a pandemic, but they were excited to see familiar materals and faces ready to learn. Starting on day one, students wrote true stories in their notebooks, kicking off our narrative writing unit. They used post-its to share their ideas about their readind during Reading Workshop.
We are hopeful for the future. The students recognize how caring and supportive our learning community is and that includes each of our donors. Thank you all again. Take care!”

Funded May 17, 2019Thank you for your patience and waiting to hear about this amazing class and how they benefited from your contribution. We received a set of classroom headphones (plus some backups) to be used during the school day. Our goal is to have these headphones last as long as possible. We discussed how to be respectful and responsible with our headphones and other technology in the classroom. We also signed a technology agreement about how to be a responsible digital citizen while online and how to take care of all the equipment that we have the privilege of using.
Our students felt "so cool" wearing these brand new, special headphones. During our open house event a couple of weeks ago, students shared with their families all the fun and helpful resources we use in the classroom. Parents were excited for their children, and I even overheard a mom telling her son to make sure he takes care of his things at school.
My diverse and unique class was particularly excited about being the first class to use these new headphones. I have a total of four refugee students new to the country, new to Chromebooks, new to using a mouse, and new to using headphones. They were very overwhelmed, but watching them navigate technology for one of the first times and seeing the joy on their faces when they figured out what to do was priceless. Thank you donors for thinking of all the children and helping to fund amazing and valuable resources to enhance students' learning. It's the support of generous people like you that keeps me and my students going.”

Funded May 9, 2018Thank you for your patience to see these materials in action. I was suddenly switched From kindergarten to 3rd grade after the start of the school year and needed some time get to know my new students. While some of my old kindergarteners were able to use some of the donated resources you helped provide at the end of last school year, my new 3rd graders were excited to benefit from these new items too. Students truly enjoy using makers for group story problem solving, using whiteboards, markers, and erasers for honing math computations, and toting books around to their reading spots with their new book bags during reading time. Students were very excited and eager to use all the materials that was available to them. I have many plans for my new 3rd grade class and how to use each and every material to enhance their learning. Thank you again for your support.”

Funded Nov 30, 2016Thank you all so much for your generous and kind donations! The class was so excited to see all of the fun colored papers that arrived in class. They all had their own ideas about what they would like to do with them. With paper being such a precious resource, I told them that each pages already had a plan. They were not disappointed with the exciting things they were able to make.
The first shipment came just in time for the holidays. Students learned about the story of the poinsettias and created one of their own. They loved the bright and vivid colors that it brought to the room. We also made an Olaf hat for our holiday concert, but I let the class take them home before I thought about taking a picture. Some other things we did was create some different class books. Each student wrote a page to contribute to the story and they were bounded together to make a book. Students loved sharing their working with others. For Valentines Day, we made hearts to be hung around the room. We were also able to make dry erase sentence strips to help with fluency and spelling.
We have so many more things planned and it was all possible with your help! Thank you again from Mrs. Benitez's kindergarten class!”

Magic Carpet Time!
Funded Dec 19, 2014On behalf of our kindergarten class, I would like to thank you for this amazing gift! Not only does this carpet add more color to our room, but students have a comfortable area where they can learn together. Students can easily organize themselves and learn how to cooperate when we are working in our color teams. We have utilized this carpet in many other ways as well, from graphing to free play to respecting each others'personal space. The carpet has become the main hub of our room where we come together as a whole unit to laugh, learn, and play. Thank you all again for your generosity and helping our class become a tighter unit!”

Bounce into Learning!
Funded Dec 20, 2013Students were very excited and bouncy after they tested out the balls for the first time! They couldn't believe that there are people out there that would help them receive such a fun and helpful gift. They found it to be "so fun" and they were more than happy to sit at their tables and get straight to work. What motivated them even more was the fact that students had to earn their balls by following classroom expectations at a much higher level. It is very important to have a well managed class. These balls helped motive my students to do their best and in the long run, they were able to focus better. I was also amazed to see how some students' handwriting actually improved! Thank you all again for your generous support in this fun and active Donorschoose project!”

A Creative Mess!
Funded Oct 10, 2012Thank you all so much for you contributions. Students have been so busy this year and getting excited about creating new things. As you can see from our pictures, students are busy making themed projects for class. Undoubtedly, the most well loved project of all was our 100th Day of School hats. Students were so excited to show everyone that they were 100 days smarter. More recently, students were able to make hearts for Valentines Day, which are still hanging in our classroom today. If it weren't for you, our students will not have been able to create such wonderful memories and memorabilia for their first year in school. These fresh and energetic students are always thrifty for the next fun and creative project. Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts. Our students are reminded everyday of the love and support that we have for one another. Thank you for making a creative mess possible!”
