There's something significant about colored resources and learning activities that brings joy to learning. Students thrive off of color coded texts, enhanced graphic organizers, and bright structured activities. Color print articles, scholarly journals, and texts promote more positive reading experiences. Students can associate and identify vocabulary with colored pictures and form inquiries. Color brings their reading to life and jump-starts creativity. Struggling readers, diverse learners, and ELs benefit from texts with colored organizational structures. Boosting classroom engagement and students' interactions with texts as well as creating vivid rigorous activities are my goals this year. Not only would a color printer help provide enjoyable resources necessary to my students, but multicultural books as well. To be a future world leader, seventh graders need to build reading stamina through books of interest and gain access to books they identify with. My classroom has very few, most books have limitations on themes, cultural relevance, and relatable identities. Books make a huge impact on students' futures and reading is a fundamental skill that translates to good writing. Reading aids in exercising analytical and comprehension abilities. Reading also stimulates innovation, stabilizes emotions, and strengthens mental muscles. A colored ink printer and culturally relevant books are essential to improve retention, create specific learning moods, embrace diversity, encourage participation, and help students process different pieces of information. I desire nothing but the best for these students; and with great resources will come great learners!
