Worktables to Wobble While We Wearn
Funded Jan 22, 2025My students and I would like to thank you for the two Lakeshore tables. We were thrilled with their arrival and continued use. While they dont fit our other tables, as we thought they would, we've made them work for our flexible seating, especially with pair/cooperative learning. They have definitely added to the great sense of pride as we've converted all our classroom to flexible seating.
With your help, my students have a comfortable space to learn every day. These tables have proven so effective that I've written over 8 Donors Choose projects so that all my students sit at Lakeshore tables instead of the 25-year-old desks that I had in my classroom for over 20 years. For now 30 of my students have alternative seating using Lakeshore tables. With our declining enrollment, I think that will be enough. I may request two more jus tin case, but for now everyone has flexible seating at tables.
Better classroom flexible furniture is essential to the learning environment. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without your help, learning would be a lot more strenuous for my students and I. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively.”

Funded Jan 1, 2025Expressing our gratitude to you for providing my students and I with Lakeshore Flex-Space Ergo Bounce Cantilever chairs for our tables will never be enough. We are truly in your debt.
The value of these Flex-Space Ergo Bounce chairs has been amply demonstrated these past few years as when students arrive in the morning, worn out and exhausted, they're much more relaxed and comfortable in these chairs. For their fatigue and impatience, the chairs have been amazing.
My students have a cozy place to learn every day thanks to your donation. I've written other projects for more because these have worked so well. We currently have roughly thirty chairs. To have a complete class set, we simply need a few more. Those few who do not receive one frequently arrive at class early the following day
to ensure they are seated on one. They are highly liked by my students and others. I even have a group of about twenty-eight children who come to eat lunch and brunch in my room, many of whom I do not know, but whose friends have told them to come. I even have a games class during advisory, because so many students are comfortable in my classroom.
Because of you, we are truly grateful. Learning would be much more difficult without your assistance. Donors like you enable me to perform my duties as a teacher efficiently by helping me create a livable classroom.
We will always be appreciative of your kindness in considering us. We appreciate your contribution to improving the world, one classroom at a time!”

Ms. Torres

Funded Oct 13, 2024Thank you so so very much for your help. My students and I profoundly appreciate all your generosity in funding our project. We want to thank you for all the basic supplies to better our classroom. Our recent immigrant students really needed notebooks and other supplies such as highlighters. post its, and crayons. They use all these supplies daily. And are grateful for them. They are also better organized with the pouches (for their witting supplies) and filing folders.
I too am grateful because with the wireless, remote control plugs I can easily turn the radio and lights off and on at the end of the day, instead of going around to each and every plug at once.
Donors, like you, fulfill my students' needs and sometimes wants. We all are grateful for your support of public”

Funded Aug 12, 2024Our classroom would like to thank you for the twin sofa for our cozy corner. We felt very special upon its arrival. You've really helped us tremendously feel comfortable and more relaxed.Although it is a bit small for a high schooler, many students have used it to lounge and read.
Almost all humans need connection and proximity. It is especially crucial for this generation, who prefers to do everything via dms, and social media, to have some in person contact. I want my students to feel as comfortable as possible. The cozy sofa has helped us be as contactless as possible in the classroom. Often, when they are tired of sitting in traditional desks, I will suggest they go and sit in our cozy corner. They stay in my classroom still doing their assigned work, but they get to be far more comfortable. Your contributions have proven quite popular for high schoolers who normally only get desks.
With your help, my students feel supported in our classroom. I know my students will do a lot better with the extra gesture and encouragement the cozy sofa has given them. Thank you for your contribution to my students and making the world a better place (one classroom at a time)!”

Funded Aug 12, 2024Our classroom would like to thank you for the Lakeshore table. We felt very special and had a great sense of pride as we built another addition to our flexible seating classroom.
The Lakeshore tables have been incredible for my student's exhaustion, impatience, and jitters. I've seen a really emotional change in their classroom behavior in those students using the new tables, and with this addition, almost all of them are at a flexible seating table.
With your help, my students have a comfortable space to study everyday. These tables have proven so effective that I will continue writing more Donors Choose projects so that eventually I have all my students sitting at Lakeshore tables instead of the 25-year-old desks. For now 95% of my students have alternative seating using Lakeshore tables. For some smaller classes they all get to sit at a trapezoid table, for others it's still a bit tight. Now I only need a few more single tables to completely transform my classroom. In fact, the tables and my flexible seating arrangements have become so popular that I can never leave my room as my students and even those I do not know come into my room during Brunch and Lunch to hang out. On days of extreme heat or cold (rain), I do not have enough space for all those that want to be in my classroom.
Better classroom flexible furniture is essential for an effective learning environment. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without your help, learning would be a lot more strenuous for my students and I. I know these are tough times. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively and impact hundreds of lives daily.”

Funded Apr 23, 2024My students and I would like to thank you for the Lakeshore table. When it arrived months ago, I couldn't believe we had another great addition for our classroom. We all felt very special and had a great sense of pride as we've almost converted all our classroom to flexible seating.
With your help, my students have a comfortable space to study and work every day. These tables have proven so effective that I will continue writing more Donors Choose projects so that eventually I have all my students sitting at Lakeshore tables instead of the 25-year-old desks that I currently have in my classroom. For now 32 of my students have alternative seating using Lakeshore tables. Now I only need one more table to completely transform my classroom.

Successful Students are Organized!
Funded Mar 18, 2024My students and I would like to thank you for all the supplies to better study US History, the paper organizer, magnetic pen and pencil holders to help them for Social Studies school.
Almost all humans need connection and communication. It is especially crucial for this generation, who prefers to do everything via dms, social platforms and texts, to have some in person contact and write with pen and paper. I am thrilled to be back to pen and paper, old school style. My students were (and are) truly organized for the rest of the school year and we're on the road to a successful new year.”

Snacks for Our State Exams
Funded Jan 8, 2024My students and I would like to thank you for all the snacks, to help them for their state exams. The seven exams almost 4 hours long each day and the snacks really did help my students keep up their energy. These snacks helped a great deal.
In past years I've hosted a light breakfast for students before they take their exams. While I did host a small get together before each exam, I still made the snack bags for them to much on during the exams as they were so long. Almost all humans need connection and communication. It is especially crucial for this generation, who prefers to do everything via dms, social platforms and texts, to have some in person contact. The more I can entice them with goodies the more likely they will come and come on time to take their state exams. And they did!!! They were so grateful.
With your help, my students felt supported for the exam season. While we won't know their test results until late July for any of their exams, I know they did a lot better with the extra gesture and encouragement. Thank you for your contribution to my students and making the world a better place (one classroom at a time)!”

Funded Dec 30, 2023My students and I would like to thank you for the Lakeshore Flex-Space Ergo Bounce Cantilever chairs for our tables.
These Flex-Space Ergo Bounce chairs have really proven their worth. My students are tired and exhausted even in the morning when they arrive. The chairs have been incredible for their exhaustion, and impatience.
With your help, my students have a comfortable space to learn everyday. These have proven so effective that I've written other projects for more. As of today we have about 30 chairs. We just need 4-6 more to have a full class set. Those few whom don't get one, often come to class early the next day to make sure and get to sit on one. They are very popular. I even get a lunch crowd of about 28 kids that come and sit and eat their lunch. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without your help, learning would be a lot more strenuous. I know these are tough times. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively.

Scrapbooking Our Family’s History: Growing New Roots, a Fifth Generation
Funded Dec 12, 2023My students and I would like to thank you for your help in getting us all the scrapbooks and materials for their family scrapbooks. We had so much fun interviewing our family members and gathering the images to include in our albums. They will also created a 10 minute flipgrid to show off their albums (to their classmates) and any other important information they discovered that they didn't necessarily want to share with the class.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without your help, learning and teaching would be a lot more strenuous. Because of your contribution my students were able to authentically learn about their families and create a lasting family treasure which they truly couldn't afford otherwise.
For the sake of money, and time, I was about to scrap the project. Im so, so glad I didn't. Their final products are beautiful.
Ive had several families reach out to me, thanking me for the project.
