  • Bright Lights to Learn

    Funded Mar 18, 2022

The Kindergarten class is actively using the light table during literacy and play centers. When we unboxed the packages all the students giggled and squealed in excitement. None of the students had ever seen a light table with see through materials. We turned the lights down and tried out all the different options available with the colors and settings the table has. It quickly became the most popular center. It has helped my students stay engaged in learning while having fun. Your donation has opened doors for learning opportunities for all students.”

  • Hands-on Math, Hands-on Math, Anyone!

    Funded Nov 16, 2018

Thank you for your generosity! You have made math a fun and exciting time for all of my students. They love the ten frame stamps and ten frame individual bags. It has been wonderful to see the excitement when they use the materials. For many of my students it is the first time exposed to stamps. The world of math has become accessible to all my students regardless of their prior experiences, learning needs or language development.

Thank you for fostering the love of learning in my students!!”

  • 1, 2, 3 ...Let's All Jump in the Alphabet Tubs!

    Funded Dec 19, 2018

Thank you for your generous contribution for our ABC tubs. The students have been using them several times a week since we received them. They have been using them in a variety of different ways such as sorting by initial letter, color, spell the word of each object and imaginative play using the objects. The students have far surpassed the ideas I originally thought of when I proposed the project. The tubs have fostered so many engaging, meaningful and fun ways to connect to sounds, letter and tangible objects. Thank you again for helping to make learning accessible to all of my students.”

  • Interactive Lapbooks

    Funded Jul 17, 2017

Thank you so much for your donation! You have made such a powerful impact in our classroom. We are in the first phase of using the lapbooks. We are currently using our lapbooks to begin our work on solving multi-step word problems. We will then be using them for adding and subtracting fraction with unlike denominators. We are doing our work as a small group. The students are supporting each other with the design and implementation of the lapbooks. The lapbooks are providing scaffolding support and strategies for students who have struggles and challenges in Math. Our goal is to have the students independently use the lapbooks during our units as a resource for them to refer to in class and at home. The students who will be using the lapbooks to build upon their skills for fractions and problem solving skills through hands on materials you have provided.

My students were amazed at the generosity of donors to our classroom. They were excited to pick out their own colored file folders and sharpie markers. It was amazing to see the enthusiasm they had getting to work on math in a different format. The lapbooks will continue to help the students gain knowledge, self confidence and skills through the entire school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. T.
