  • Playing and Learning In First Grade

    Thank you so much for your generous donations! The students have had so much fun working and learning with the new materials. After unpacking the boxes, the class did not want to put them down! A groan falls across the room every time we have to put away stations. They were having so much fun while practicing reading and math skills!

    Watching my students discover and have those "AH-HA" moments are bittersweet! They students have displayed a great deal of growth in not only academics, but self-confidence when participating in whole group activities.

  • Cutting Up in PreK!

    We have been enjoying our new materials! My students did not know what we had received, but once they saw the Cricut in action, they were super excited. Cutting shapes and letters with the Cricut has saved so much preparation time, and I have more time to address their needs more efficiently.

    In Pre-K, we focus on letters and letter sounds, creating an animal with each letter. We also make foldables with the construction paper, where they sort and record information to add to their interactive notebooks. The students love these activities and it really sticks with them!

    I have since moved to Kindergarten with my previous students, and we still use the materials. The smiles on their faces when they are creating is priceless!”

    I cannot even begin to express how thankful we are for your donations. When we picked up the package from the front office, the students could hardly contain themselves. They were so excited to see what was in the box. After unpacking the box and embarking on our first adventure, the class did not want to put them down. They were having so much fun while practicing math skills!

    Before the donations, the students would get so frustrated when erasing incorrect work with pencil and paper. Now, they are excited to use the new erasers to make corrections and are learning from their mistakes. They even love racing against the timer.

    We use the materials as much as possible, especially when we finish the lesson early. The students have displayed a great deal of growth in not only academics, but self-confidence.
