Reading is Fundamental!
Funded Jun 5, 2020Thank you so much for helping fund my reading project. Due to Covid 19, my school started remotely therefore, I'll be reading theses books virtually through our zoom meetings. I know there are many read aloud books available online, but I believe it is important for my students to connect with me when I read these books aloud to them. I have selected books that are diverse and go along with the themes that we do in our class such as friendship, multicultural awareness, feelings, and so much more.
Children learn to love the sound of language before they even notice the existence of printed words on a page. Reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word.
Once it is safe for school to resume in person, I would have these books available for my students to borrow. This will be a great way to help promote literacy into their homes. Thank you again so much for helping ignite the love of reading!”

Funded Mar 2, 2020Thank you so much for funding our much needed shed. I feel blessed to have an amazing parents in my community that helped assemble the shed quickly! They did in a few hours with our students cheering them on! I feel grateful and have a peace of mind that all our outdoor equipment are securely locked since school has been closed for the rest of the school year. PreK Artists!
Funded Feb 21, 2020We can't thank you enough for funding our art supply project. My students and I were really excited to obtain all the art supplies! We were able to do some art projects before remote learning happened. I'm planning on giving out some of the supplies to students so that they can continue to do their little masterpieces in their home. I'm also planning on doing a step by step art lesson via Zoom! Art is sure a great way for my little Picassos to express themselves. Wishing everyone to be safe and healthy during this time.”

MacBook Pro for Professional Growth
Funded Oct 17, 2019Thank you again so much for your MacBook donation. Having this new laptop has been such an impact on my classroom lessons. I am able to project from my laptop various educational images that enable class discussions as well as show educational videos. It has been time-saving as It is so much faster as I don't have to worry about it freezing like my previous computer did during the middle of my lesson.
Also, I've been able to utilize the apple education program where I am able to enrich my lessons. The iMovie is one of the features that I am using where I record the students stories and have them act them out. This helps them develop language skills and provide a sense of pride with their work. There are so many apple education badges I would like to obtain and begin implementing into my class.
I've signed up for upcoming webinars on math and developing coding in my classroom. There are plenty of resources out there that can help me grow professionally. I am excited to build my knowlege as well as integrate technology in my instruction. Thank you again for your donation and for making this possible.”

Funded Oct 25, 2019Thank you so much for your donation of the HP Sprocket photo printer. It has been so much fun being able to print pictures of various activities of my students. I'm able to print out what they have built with their friends. It gives them a sense of pride as I created a book of structures they have built throughout the school year.
This donation has also been time-saving as I am able to create cards and ornament projects for Christmas. I can't wait to make more projects with it.
I have also been able to utilize this printer as I am able to quickly print out moments and create portfolios for each child.

Funded Dec 10, 2014My class and I can't thank you enough for your generous donation for this beautiful rug. My preschoolers were ecstatic with this bright, new alphabet rug. It has really made our classroom become more inviting. The rug has turned my class into a more engaging place, where the students excitedly identified their letters.
With the rug, my students were able to easily find a designated spot to sit with their own personal space. I am confident that this will increase their language skills as they play with blocks or engage with one another during circle time.
This funding has come right on time. I will be able to have many exciting discussions and playtime that will surely fuel student learning and achievement. One more time, thanks so much!”

iPads Are Ideal For My Preschool Class
Funded Jan 28, 2014I can't thank you enough for your donations of the iPads for my classroom. The children are really excited to have them in the classroom. It's great to see the kids engage and learn in a fun, interactive way.
During center time, my students use apps on the iPads to reinforce both math and literacy skills such as counting, sorting, patterning, segmenting/blending, fluency, handwriting practice, letter identification and sounds, and most importantly to strengthen their fine motor skills. My students use the iPads to record their learning experiences and share with their classmates and families. In small groups, I teach content such as handwriting, phonics, reading strategies, writing sight words, or study a specific topic.
Thank you again so much for seeing the importance of technology in early education. The iPads you've funded truly have a made a great difference in the way my students are learning.”

The tricycles, scooters, bouncing balls, and balance beam you all have donated has made such a tremendous joy to my children. They are all so excited during outdoor playtime which also provides a great exercise.
With all the current budget shortfalls with our school district, my students would not have been able to receive these vital resources without your generous donations. Providing this equipment promotes a healthy lifestyle for my students and the rest of the Kindergarteners.
