    The donation of posters, individual whiteboards, and a color printer has had a profound impact on our elementary music education classroom at PS 938. These resources have enhanced our teaching methods and enriched the learning experience for our students in numerous ways. The posters serve as visual aids, helping to reinforce key musical concepts and providing inspiration for creative expression. The individual whiteboards offer an interactive way for students to actively participate in lessons, engage in musical exercises, and express their ideas. Additionally, the color printer has allowed us to create vibrant and visually stimulating materials, from personalized music worksheets to colorful song lyrics and musical games. Overall, these donations have transformed our classroom into a dynamic and engaging environment where students are motivated to learn, explore, and discover the joy of music. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support that has enhanced the music education experience for our students at PS 938.”

Now when students enter the music room, there are bright posters to cover the walls, each student has a colorful spot to sit on on the floor and our music library is filled with beautiful picture books. Resources can be scarce and it means so much to my students and myself to have a warm, fun and inviting classroom to come to every day and make the best music we can make.   • Musical Library of Songs and Stories

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to our musical library! Our students have LOVED listening, reading, and singing along to these fabulous musical stories. Having books to add to the musical curriculum makes learning and being an active musical participant so much more accessible for our students.

    Through the books you gave us, students have been able to learn about famous musicians such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Bob Marley, Louis Armstrong, Tito Puente and so many more. Younger learners are able to sing song books about the ocean, farm, forest, jungle and more. Older students have books that correspond with their rhythm and note reading lessons.

    Thank you again for making a real difference in the musical education in our young learners lives. We are so thrilled to have these beautiful book for many years to come.”

Because we are a brand new school, we are starting from scratch. Right now our bookshelves in the music room are sitting empty. With your help we can fill them with stories of musicians, both current and past, stories about children like themselves learning the music basics, illustrations of some of their favorite songs and so many other fun musical stories. These books will help round out our students very hands on music curriculum and give our students the opportunity to hear and participate in musical stories throughout the school year. Each book chosen aligns with a part of their musical curriculum to build well rounded musicians. I strive to cultivate a library of books about music that is diverse and multicultural.
