With the use of the iPads, students can dive further into their learning while creating videos in conjunction with green screens. This technology advances their projects along with their comprehension. Students can demonstrate their understanding of a topic, such as animal traits, by using video (filmed on an iPad), and turn a simple science project into a hands-on experience and create final projects, such as commercials, weather reports, and end results of mutations.
Furthering their learning, students also have the opportunity to acquire skills that can be used in their everyday life and take with them this knowledge as they becoming a functioning part of society. With the use of these iPads, students will learn how to navigate different apps to increase the production of their video that can be transferred to jobs as they get older. While promoting STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art/design, and math) students are completely engaged, excited about learning, and are able to apply concepts to real life experiences. This learning can be everlasting and remembered as they continue their educational career and beyond.
