This DonorsChoose project that I am hoping to get funded is to build a classroom game shelf for my students. As a special education teacher, I am in and out of a variety of grade level classrooms, so I need to have games for students of all abilities. As fun as it would be to play Monopoly, Life, and Candyland all day long, I need to have some games that will engage students while also helping them develop visual-spatial skills, critical thinking skills, strategy skills, and more. One of my goals for this year is to limit the amount of time that students spend on the iPads I have in my classroom when it comes to earned free time or a break. I would love for kids to spend their "free time" enjoying an engaging game that helps them to build cooperative skills, social skills, and even "winning" and "losing" etiquette. Having a wide variety of games in my classroom would provide me with many different games for students to choose from that suit students across a wide variety of ages and abilities. Thank you for your consideration with this project!
