  • Arts and Tech

    Funded Oct 7, 2020

Thank you so much for the art supplies and technology materials that you have provided us. We are able to use the gel pens to decorate things in our classroom and the kids have made bookmarks and birthday cakes to put on the board. We are able to sanitize the pens afterward :) Thank you for the cord so that I can now have two monitors to use for virtual learning.

We really appreciate you thinking of us in the time of Covid-19 and virtual learning. We have been teaching constantly and have not been vaccinated yet in MA. We are on the list but towards the end of Phase 2. Your educators are not OK, so it really means a lot that you helped us out with this nice project. Thanks for supporting us!”

  • PPE for You & Me

    Funded Oct 14, 2020

Thank you so much for thinking of us and finding this project!!!

You are so amazing! Because of you, we can be a little bit more successful and a little bit more safe in hybrid learning.

It has been scary in this pandemic and thank you for making it a little more pleasant!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cavallo

  • Google Classroom Ready

    Funded Jul 17, 2020

Your gift of the laptop this summer was an amazing thing.

I was able to see my students for summer school on the laptop for Google Meets instead of having to use my cell phone.

I was able to create fun banners and background for my kids using Google Slides for their Google Classroom.

I was able to create resources to share with other educators on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Thanks to your gift, I was a better virtual educator in this pandemic.

The students and I can't thank you enough.

    Sincerely,

    Natalie”

  • Books, Supplies & Rewards

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART for donating to our project. Seeing the kids' faces light up as we opened the gifts made me feel so special. The students quickly started using the writing materials with excitement. Now when we are watching films we can use the bluetooth speaker to make it louder for us all to hear it. We appreciate the extension cord so that I may pull my projector cart back further so that the screen can be bigger so that we can see things better. We use the wipes daily to clean surfaces so that we don't get sick. Thank you for believing in our future and for letting these kids know that they MATTER. I am forever grateful!”

  • Supplies for Future Fluent Readers/Writers

    Funded Oct 7, 2019

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating to our students!

I shared the wipes with the other teachers and they were very excited. It will help keep all of us healthy this winter!

The students were really excited about the headphones, erasers, pencils, and fun Japanese erasers. The students can use these items in all classes and enjoy fun rewards like the Japanese erasers when they have been on track.

We really appreciate you donating to our classroom! Because of you, more resources went directly to the source-- our students-- 100% from community members like you.

Thank you for making these students feel special. Together we will help the next generation be as successful as possible. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

  • Getting Kids Excited about English Class

    Funded Jan 23, 2018

My students could not have been more excited about the animal erasers!! I have been so thankful for the pencils and wipes as well, among other things. It is just nice to be able to clean the classroom and have materials to make things run smoothly. It is still surprising at times that many students come to school without a pencil, so it has been very helpful to have pencils to sell them for their "scholar dollars." I really appreciate your donation to our classroom and hope that you have a great 2018. Your support means that students are encouraged and excited about a class most of them find really challenging. Thank you for your support!”

  • Writing Rock Star Essentials

    Funded Oct 24, 2017

Thank you so much for making this project a reality. Due to your help, the students got writing supplies such as mechanical pencils, pens, lead, and more. They have put those supplies to good use and even "purchased" them with the use of scholar dollars, which reward positive behavior.

The student's face lights up when they reach into the big pencil box in my classroom and exchange their scholar dollars for something to call their own. Some students deal with family issues, homelessness, abandonment, and more. Thank you for your support to the local community and the students really appreciate it as well. It may seem like something small, but at least it is a small step in the right direction. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cavallo

  • Just the Essentials

    Funded Mar 29, 2017

My students and I have already began using the materials! They are thrilled to have their own sharpener now and are happy the wipes are back. Everything feels a lot cleaner and fresher. We are preparing to take the MCAS test this month, so it is nice to generate some excitement about the writing process.

The students were again thankful for the considerate donations. We really appreciate you thinking of us!

The next steps for us are more art materials. We are going to read about Vincent van Gogh this spring and what better way than to complete some artwork of our own? Another interest I have is obtaining a classroom subscription to an ELA magazine.

Thanks for taking this journey with us and helping to make it an amazing one.

    Love,

    Natalie”

  • Basic Classroom Supplies 2 and Seating

    Funded Nov 9, 2016

My students love and appreciate the new resources. We have opened everything and started using it right away! The construction paper has helped us be creative and add flair to our projects. The glue sticks have helped us assemble projects and assignments. The students especially like the seating! The blue chair is a hit among students and they can "rent" it for three scholar dollars, which is the currency of our school's PBIS program. The smaller seat cushions can be rented for one scholar dollar and many students love the fact that they can have a padded seat vs. the hard chairs they sit in all day.

When my students first saw the materials, they were surprised and asked where they came from. They were really excited about everything and have been using the materials since they were received. In sixth grade ELA we have been using many of the materials to make the assignments engaging and multi sensory.

We really appreciate you thinking of us and donating materials to make our school experience more rewarding. It is because of people like you that my students and I are encouraged to do our best work!”

  • Basic Classroom Supplies

    Funded Oct 31, 2016

My students and I love the new materials that we received from your project. The pencils and highlighters have become very useful to help when annotating text and filling out information. The Lysol wipes help with an essential part of the classroom regimen-- keeping the desks and other surfaces clean! We really appreciate it, especially as it is cold season. The writing materials were very popular among my students. I sold them for "scholar dollars"-- the reward of our PBIS program. The students like highlighting the text and preparing to answer questions or prompts based on the text.

When my students first saw the materials, they were delivered to my class during the middle of the day in many boxes. I had the students help me open up everything, although it got a little loud. One student said it was like Christmas with everyone opening up the boxes. We were really excited.

Our next steps are to keep going with Donors Choose and possibly start a project that will benefit the entire school. We have a water problem in our school-- many fountains don't work and the ones that do are over-used and old. I think we could all benefit from an updated water fountain that filters water and enables everyone to refill water bottles to keep us hydrated during the day. You have shown me that anything is possible and I really appreciate your donation!”

    Ms. Cavallo

Our students need these supplies for writing and participating in their everyday classes. These will help our students be prepared for the day in all of their subjects and ensure that they are learning to the best of their potential. The pens and pencils will be used for writing in all domains. Highlighters are going to be especially useful when annotating a text. We will use the cleaning supplies to clean the desks and our classroom surfaces. The tab dividers will make organization easier for students who struggle with that. These basic classroom supplies will really make a difference in our year. Thanks!
