I Want to Expose My Students to STEM and Coding
Funded Nov 19, 2015I would like to thank you for the amazing donation you have provided for my class and I. My students became very excited when they open the Dash and Dot Robot. They were also very excited when using the printer to scan their documents. They said, "what is that?" and "Wow! now I know how to use it." My students became very happy for learning a new skill. You have provided my students to become exposed to new skills. I am thankful for your support. My students are very grateful for the opportunity you have provided us. You have provided my students the opportunity to become exposed to new experiences such as learning how to code through play. My students are not provided with many opportunities to try or interact with new experiences. They will be able to remember this experience forever. You have provided my students to have the opportunity to gain knowledge with the Dash and Dot Robot. In addition, to this you have provided my students to feel that their work is important with the use of a printer. My students will be able to type their work and show it to their parents. Thank you from my students and I. You are awesome!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Luna
This classroom project was brought to life by EMP Museum + Paul G. Allen Family Foundation and one other donor.Books in the Life of a Child!
Funded Feb 27, 2015Thank you! You are awesome! My students and I are grateful for your donations to my project. The possibilities that you have provided for my students are truly exciting! The generosity you all have given us has impacted each of my students greatly.
My students were exited when they saw we received new books for our library. A lot of my students have increase in their reading level. The students borrow 5 books from the library every week and write a book response in their notebook. The progress the students have made is visible in the students work.
The students tell me that they love the new books. They enjoy that a lot of the books are chapter books. They tell me excited about the new book that they will be reading next. My students love all the books they get to discover in our library.
In addition to this they love using the sequence story tiles during center time. In our class we have center time for one period, which is equivalent to 45 minutes. During that time two groups spend 20 minutes in the center composing their story. A lot of them have progress from writing sentences to paragraphs.
Because of the donations my students are improving in reading and writing. Books are fundamental for a students learning. I am extremely thankful for the support from Elsa and Kindergarten Rocks for promoting my project.
If it were not for them and all of the generous donors my project would have never reached the goal. I cannot express how thankful I am. This means more than you will ever know!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Luna
