English and Electives Teachers in Need of Exciting Lessons
Funded Jan 13, 2024Thank you so much for your support with this project! With the gift card money, I was able to purchase some lessons and activities for my classes.
I bought lessons to help me teach Argumentative essays for my English and Speech & Debate classes. The product came with graphic organizers as well as rubrics for writing.
I also bought a template to turn my multiple-choice tests into a Whodunnit mystery. My students loved walking around the room and answering questions. It made it much more interactive and my students were engaged and having fun while I got test results.
I was also able to purchase Famous Faces for AAPI month, which is a great interactive art project for the class to color and learn about famous people of Asian or Pacific Island descent.”

Support a Teacher Prep Class with Printing Supplies
Funded Oct 11, 2022Thank you so much for your donations to my classroom.
Since receiving these products, I have been able to give my students new and exciting ways to learn and demonstrate their mastery of our curriculum.
For example, a color printer has allowed me to print out articles with images, and students can understand the context with clarity. Students are also able to use the printer for their projects, and can now produce even better posters and presentations with higher quality images.
This printer is also very ink friendly, and I am so glad I will not have to refill it as much as I would do so with a non-eco tank one.
For the Eggspert buzzers, class studying has become a fun game as students compete to "buzz in" to answer questions related to the subject matter. It is especially fun to do with history and to test them on their knowledge. Perfect for a round of jeopardy.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Brotzel
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 7 other donors.First Time Visual Arts and Creative Writing Teacher
Funded Sep 30, 2021From the bottom of our hearts, the students and I from room 171 want to thank you for your immensely generous donation! As a second-year teacher, and first time art teacher, I was really struggling with finding and implementing lessons that were engaging across a multitude of grades, 6-8th.
However, with the new materials and Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, I was able to provide my students with variety of fun and engaging activities! My students were overjoyed at the new materials and we got straight into our first ever painting assignment! For their first one, I let them have a little freedom on what they wanted to create and boy did they have a ton of fun! See the slideshow for some of my artists' amazing works of art.
With these materials, I can start focuses more on specifics of art. For example, we are learning about the Elements of Art, and are focused on Line and its purpose in art.
This week, we will be working on creating art focused on mimicking Jackson Pollock's work with lines, as well as creating landscapes using only a variety of lines.
Once again, we thank you for giving us your support and can't wait to make a ton more creations!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Brotzel
