Flexible seating allows for my students to take charge of their learning and to be able to focus within the classroom. Many of my students are not able to sit still for more than half of the lesson, and this will allow them to fidget in a quiet manner and allow others to remain on task. Many of my students have various seating locations and with flexible seating, they can continue to work hard, remain focused and motivated to learn. The timers will be used during their Brain Break activities. This will allow for the students to manage their own time and become independent. The lounge chairs would be used in the COOL-OFF area to give the students time to regain their composure and join their classmates in the lessons.
The donations to this project will permit my students to regain their independence and become less disruptive with their peers.
These products are what every classroom needs, but more-so in a behavior unit. The goal is to empower our students to become successful and become confident in their abilities. Giving students choices will increase their confidence and ability to strive within the classroom.
