Reignite Reading Excitement With New Books
Funded Dec 3, 2019Our children are enjoying reading the new books! These books have re-ignited their excitement to further develop their reading skills. While reading these books students have learned more about various social studies and science topics. The books covering weather, animals/inspects, and community service have kindled a greater curiosity. While reading about these interesting topics, children continue to build foundational reading skills.
This includes: Reading text from left to right and top to bottom, identifying letters, words, spaces, & punctuation, and matching text to the picture. As well as book features such as front and back cover, spine, title, title page, author and illustrator.
These books contain a simple, repetitive sentences, such as "I see the dog. I see the cat". When children begin reading these books, they gain confidence and their excitement is contagious. Thank you for sharing your love of reading with our youngest readers!”

NEW CLASSROOM
Funded Oct 2, 2018We love the rug! Thank you!
This rug has provided my students with a visual of their area on the carpet, which makes gathering on the carpet so much easier. With this rug we are able to sit comfortably together as a group and when needed we easily make an oval on the perimeter of the rug.
When given free choice time students hurriedly gather on the rug with their toys because it has made our classroom so much more comfortable and welcoming.
The students were so excited when they first saw it many forgot to unpack their things because they wanted a closer look. They were thrilled!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Booth
