With a great effort to establish a strong, safe and positive community we have implemented PBIS. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture needed for all students in school to achieve social, emotional and academic success. Attention is focused on creating and sustaining primary (school-wide), secondary (classroom), and tertiary (individual) systems of support that improve lifestyle results (personal, health, social, family, work, recreation) for all youth by making targeted misbehavior less effective, efficient, and relevant, and desired behavior more functional. With the implementation of positive reinforcement our students have been thriving. The student store or the "be buck" store as we like to call it (for be respectful, be responsible and be safe) has been a motivating factor for all students, K-8. We are now moving off the mobile cart into our very own BE BUCK STORE! Step-by-step, the teachers, custodial staff and student volunteers are building our motivating, inspirational and rewarding store. Thank you for your support!
