Pencils and Paper!
Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much for donating to my class. With your help, I was able to provide essential materials to students in my classroom. Making copies takes a lot of paper and you were able to help me fill my supply. I give my students 5 sharpened pencils each Monday and challenge them to be responsible and keep them for the week. This eliminates sharpening during instructional time. You have made it possible to keep a nice supply ready for students and keep the pencils sharpened. By far, this was the best sharpener I've ever had! Thank you for supporting education, my students really appreciate what you have done.”

Thank you so much for the karaoke microphones. My ESOL students were so excited to get them. It encouraged them to speak English in class. Whether the words are right or wrong just being able to use the karaoke microphones were so much fun! They are such a big hit with all the students. Thanks for all you do to support education.”

Funded Nov 17, 2022Thank you so much for supporting my class project with supplies. You could have picked any project, but you thought enough to support my class project. My students were so excited to see all the supplies that donors had given to our class. I make it my mission to tell them every time we use materials that were donated to our class.
We do many activities that require the use of glue. Thanks to your support, my classroom has a glue for students to use to complete projects. We have enough that everyone can have their own. We are also constantly writing in class. The composition books that you helped to purchase are also a big hit in the classroom when it comes to writing. Thanks to the staples, I'm able to staple papers on a daily basis for my students. It may seem simple, until you're out of staples and can't find any. I'm so happy that someone thought enough of my students to support my project.

Funded Sep 1, 2022I can't thank you enough for being so generous to my classroom. Because of your donations, you have made a major impact on the daily functions in my classroom. Every student wants to be in the front of the class to have the best seat possible (usually...lol). Unfortunately, that can't be possible for every student in the class. Someone has to be seated near the back. Because of my mobile whiteboard that I was able to get with your donation, even my students in the back can see materials. I'm able to use the chart paper to create charts and move the board closer to the view of all students. I'm also able to use the mobile board in small group. My students are able to have an interactive experience. My rolling cart allows materials to neatly be within my reach. I'm able to move throughout the classroom and have materials right there with me. With the hangers I'm able to store and hang anchor charts. Thank you again for making this possible. It may seem small to some, but when it's needed in the classroom it makes a world of a difference.”

Funded Aug 7, 2022Thank you so much for providing the resources to create encouraging bulletin boards. I've been able to create headers for our reading units. I've also been able to create themed based bulletin boards for our hallways. My students were super excited to see their names on our welcome board.
I'll be able to create many more bulletin boards for the upcoming seasons. I'm currently thinking of a wonderful idea for the winter season for my students to enjoy. Thanks again for all of your support. I couldn't have done it without you!”

Funded Aug 3, 2022Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom. When our school took away the desk that held student materials inside them, I had no idea of what I was going to do to hold student materials. Because of your donations, my students have a place to store materials at their seats. My students were so excited to choose a color of the chair pockets.
The grouping chair pockets hold materials for students to use while they are at their seats. Our schedule is filled with learning, which makes time so limited. Going back and forth to cubbies takes so much time, but having the chair pockets have made it possible to have materials at our seats.
Everyday we use our place value chart to count the number of days of school. Students are visually able to see the breakdown of numbers.

The cardstock paper, laminating plastic paper sheets, and photo storage boxes have helped with center activities. I'm able to have sturdy paper and boxes to store materials. The dry erase circles work perfectly in my guided reading group.

Funded Jul 27, 2022Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom. Because of your donations, my students have supplies for daily use. They get excited every Friday to turn in their pencil pouches for prizes for keeping up with their pencils.
Having pencils helps my students do their assignments. They do not have to worry about not being prepared with supplies because all supplies have been given to them. Sharpening pencils throughout the day can be a pain, but because of your generosity the worry of constantly sharpening pencils have been eliminated.
Everyday during small group and whole group, my students use their whiteboards for learning. Your donations have made a huge impact inside my classroom. Funded Mar 15, 2022Thank you for your care and concern for the students at Orchard View Community School. At the time when you donated to my project, it was near the end of the school year. Supplies were low and you stepped in to give us the refresh on supplies that we needed to finish the year strong. Pencils are probably the number one thing that students use in the classroom. It's something I ALWAYS need. Many time, parents just don't have it or forget, and no child should be responsible for things that are not in their control. In my class, I supply all pencils to make things easier for students and parents. I place the pencils in the pouches and challenge students to keep up with the pencils for the week. If students have all the pencils, then they get a small treat. Students work hard to keep up with their pencils. This system helps to run a smooth classroom. Thank you for your donation to our pencil supply and contributing to the success of my classroom. I'm always grateful for donations to my classroom.”
