• School Supplies for the Rest of the Year

  Thanks so much. This was not the most interesting project, but the supplies are so necessary for the success of our students. Also, the students did really enjoy figuring out that 574 pencils came in the box. They had never seen that many pencils at one time.

  We have enough binders and dividers to get us started with next year and that is a big relief! It is so great to not have to worry about shopping the sales to provide what our students need.

  The watercolors are an upgrade to the sets we received on an earlier project. I ordered them because the students have really enjoyed using watercolors. They are so creative, and painting is also very soothing for many of the children.”

• March Madness Book Bracket!

  Thank you for making a great experience possible for my students. A group of students worked together to select the 16 books to go into the book tournament. They made a giant bracket poster for our 4/5 hallway and updated it as people voted. They were so excited to find out which books the other 4th and 5th graders liked.

  They worked on this for about a month around spring break, as that is the time of the NCAA March Madness. Several kiddos read books that they might not have read if not for this project.”

• More Book Sets for Room 19!

  Thank you for donating to this project. We just can't get enough books in room 19. The kids have so enjoyed reading the different series of books. Many of them can see themselves in some of the characters.

  It's so great to have multiple copies of the books, so that students can read the same book as a classmate. They enjoy talking about the books. The greatest sound is the laughter that comes from some of these conversations. It's all possible because of your donations.

• Let's Play and Create!

  Thank you for your generosity. This project has created so many good memories for the kiddos and I. We have played more games as a class and created more art because of you!

  The kids and I really enjoy playing Scrabble Slam as a class. They all try to figure out which letter to change to create a new word. If you are not familiar with this game, I suggest you check it out.

  The kids were so thrilled to see all the Uno games. There is truly an Uno game for everyone in the class. It was fun to see which theme each group of students selected. I was sometimes surprised by the one they selected.

  The watercolor paints have lead to many wonderful activities. We even painted Sugar Skull with our second grade buddies!”

• Even More Book Sets for Room 19!

  Thank you so much for funding this project. The kiddos have so many great books to read, and they are really enjoying them. Some have commented that we have too many books! There are a lot, but that just means there is something for everyone.

  I also want to let you know the the students are taking great care of the books, so the books will be read by many students for years to come.

• Books, Puzzles, and Games Galore!

  Thank you for providing these resources for my students. They are enjoying the puzzles, books, and games. Many, many games of Connect Four have been played since the package arrived. The kids love the Rubik's like cubes and have spent much time working together to solve them.

• Reviving the Yearbook

  Thank you for providing the cameras, computer, and other equipment to help us create an amazing yearbook. We have taken many pictures of some of our important events. The cameras have captured a kindergarten pumpkin patch in our school field, as COVID did not allow for an actual trip this year. They also captured our recent spirit week.

  We will make good use of the computer in 2022, as we put together the pages of the yearbook. The Macintosh computer makes it so easy for our fifth graders to do some amazing desktop publishing.”

• Reading Books IRL!

  Thank you for supporting our classroom. The kiddos love the books so much! They are so happy to be able to select books from our classroom library and to not have to wait to go to our school library.

• Animals Make Great Main Characters!

  Thank you so much! All of the fourth and fifth graders love to read about animals, especially when they are the focus of a series of books. You have provided so much enjoyment to my students.
