  We are starting the school year in our cell unit and we start with the book, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. This book is a true story and gives us a front row look at cell culture, cancer, science, and medical apartheid. We love the book and we are so excited for the students to experience the book.

  Your donation helped us make sure every freshman students gets their own copy of the book. This is very important to us.

• Goggles for Labs in Science Class

  This project has helped the students get new and clean goggles in their science classroom. We complete multiple labs and dissection each year with our students. Most of these labs require lab goggles. The new lab goggles will make it possible for all of our students to have goggles during the labs.

• Future Doctors Need Fetal Pig to Dissect

  Thank you so much for donating to our science classroom! We are so excited to use the fetal pig dissection during the human body unit in biology class in the fall. This is one of the students' favorite class.

  The fetal pigs allow the students to experience a dissection that some students don't do until they are in college. Our students see themselves as scientists and doctors with this dissection.
