    Thank you for your donation and support of our classroom! Every year is graced with learners who succeed in a number of different styles and settings. These materials will help me to support each of those children and encourage growth and student self-investment in our day to day classroom events. It will affirm choice and voice in learning.

    My students have fallen in love with our "new" classroom home! It has also allowed each student a level of comfort in learning that they may not have experienced in the past, or even a level of comfort that they aren't able to get at home. Each day we use our Amazon Fires for both small group and whole group activities. My students are becoming more knowledgeable about technology. All students have been able to work at their level in both subjects. They enjoy every moment they get to use our classroom set of Fires. Through your donation I am able to help close the achievement gap in my class.”

Having a classroom set of Amazon Fires will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. One way students will use their Fires is to practice individualized math during small groups. Students can login into Amazon's Tenmark program to start their teacher selected math path. I will also download other apps for various math practice skills, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students. Another way they will use their Amazon Fries is by recording group projects to present to the class. Students will also use these during small group reading time with the teacher. Each student will focus on their reading level, while reducing the amount of paper needed for productive small groups. My project will make a difference because it will give students exposure to technology that they might not otherwise have. Our school is not at the level technologically to meet my students needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap even more.
