Send Me to the National Art Education Conference!
Funded Nov 17, 2019I’m so grateful for your support! I didn’t really think I’d be able to go to the National conference this year, but there were such amazing speakers, presenters and connections that could be made I had to give it a shot. I’m so excited and totally looking forward to this opportunity!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and 7 other donors.iPads in the Art Room
Funded Apr 1, 2014I wish you all could have been here to see my students when they saw the iPad for the first time. They couldn't wait to use them.
The iPad Mini has been a great tool for my students in the art room for research, and for using our Artsonia app! I have seen tremendous growth in the students willingness to research and seek relevant content when spending time on on the iPads.
Having the iPad mini as well as our class iPad has helped me reached varying needs in the class. I am able to enrich students as well as provide extra tools. Thank you so much for your generosity!”

Printmaking with Gelli Plates
Funded Mar 25, 2014I am writing to you with the utmost sincere gratitude for your donations to our Gelli Print project. It is people like you who make my program grow. It is my great pleasure to educate my students to go out into the world with an appreciation for art, art programs and the work that artists produce. I hope one day they will vote in local elections not to cut art programs, donate to cultural institutions and support worthy projects on Donors Choose.
The Gelli plate has transformed our class, students and myself. The material is so easy to use and gives such an amazing response, the students become addicted and want to experiment more and more. it has sparked their creativity and mine. I have used the plates with all grade levels including kindergarten with great success! I will even be presenting for Gelli at the VA State Art Education Conference in the Fall and will be acquiring more printing plates and paints for our class as well as sharing my love for the medium with other educators. The reach of this project has been very wide!
I know economic times are hard for most of us, but it reaffirms my faith in humanity that people will give of themselves to help others and give to the arts. I thank you, my students thank you and we are grateful for your commitment to their education.”
