Our school district is currently in the hybrid learning phase with our preschool students being in-person 4 days and at home for 1. Our 'work from home' days are perfect opportunities for our students and their families to work together and create something they both can be proud of and excited to complete! We try to send home art projects for the families to do, but find a lack of materials becomes a barrier. The art supplies will help us to be able to divide up and distribute to our families. This will make planning for family projects easier because we know they will have the supplies we are using.
Our students love to engage in so many sensory experiences! Right now, a popular and safe option has been our light table! It is new to our classroom so we do not have a ton of materials to use with it. This has been a great way for our students to work on their social interactions with their peers by working together to build. The light table manipulative set will give us an opportunity to use the light table in new ways to help build on skills both academically and socially.
Our class loves to work together in pairs to build new things with our building blocks. By adding new blocks to our shelf, we will be able to build in new meaningful ways that we couldn’t before.
