  • Workstations Work Wonders

    Funded Dec 28, 2021

I wish you could have seen the looks on my students' faces when they first saw their new workstations! The goal was to provide my students with fun options for workstations so that they would be motivated to stay engaged while practicing necessary skills and concepts. Needless to say, these supplies did just that!

The thing that the students love the most about these stations is the fact that they have the autonomy to choose the activity or games that they would like to complete.

We are going to continue to use these workstations to reinforce skills that we have learned throughout this school year and we wouldn't have been able to do that without your donation so THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Adams

  • Back To School Basics

    Funded Nov 10, 2019

We have been super busy this school year filling our brains with all of the knowledge needed to be successful this school year and in preparation of our futures. Your donation is what made this possible.

Everything has been a tremendous benefit to support our learning. When our pencils run low, we have a stash to replace them. When our erasers run out, we can just pull out our individuals ones. We use the dry erase markers on a daily basis to show our work on our tables. Crayons are used for our addition and subtraction sheets that we do on Fun Fact Friday for our morning work. Our wet erase markers have helped us be able to reuse our workstations from week to week.

My kids are grateful for everything and they were especially excited about the crayons. I think the appreciation stems from them having to use broken crayons prior to your generous donation. We are sincerely thankful.”

    Ms. Adams

  • The Gathering Place

    Funded Oct 24, 2018

To say that my students were extremely excited to walk into the classroom and see their new carpet would be an understatement. It was so heartwarming to see their little eyes light up! As I called them to The Gathering Place for the first time on our new carpet, I remember one student exclaiming, "We can all fit!" As the kids showered me with "Thank yous," I made sure to give credit where credit was due. My students are overjoyed with your generous donation and their gratitude shows up in the classroom everyday when they are able to sit in The Gathering Place comfortably and with room to spare.

Needless to say, we have been using our carpet and our easel on a daily basis. The heart of our instruction occurs each day on the carpet and that would not have been possible without you. For that, we are incredibly grateful.

As we continue to go (and grow) throughout the school year, please know that our carpet and our easel are playing a major role in the effort by providing us with a place to learn and a way to display our learning. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Adams

  • Making Learning Interactive

    Funded Sep 8, 2018

My students were so excited when they walked in and saw their interactive journals neatly placed on each of their desks. What made it even more exciting was that they all had the opportunity to decorate their notebook to make it their own. After allowing them to personalize their interactive notebooks, we got right to work adding our table of contents and all the work and activities we had completed thus far in the classroom. Now, we use our journals daily to house the knowledge we are adding to our brains this school year.

We put everything in our journals including notes, anchor charts, foldables, activities, recording sheets, and more! If at any point in time a student can't remember what expanded form is, they can turn to their table of contents, look for the page that expanded form is on, and quickly get a refresher. If a student can't remember the steps to solve an addition problem, they can turn to the addition section in their notebook and find those steps. If a student was absent and missed an assignment, they know everything they missed will be inside the envelope in the back of their notebook. Our notebooks play a major role in supporting our learning. We plan to continue using these notebooks throughout the school year and filling all the pages with great work. We send you guys our love and our sincere gratitude because we couldn't have done it without you guys!”

  • Organized Curiosity!

    Funded Oct 2, 2017

Your generous donation has definitely lightened the burden of a very grateful teacher! Words can not express how thankful my students are for the materials we received. As stated, I teach over 400 students and so it was very necessary for me to have materials available to help me organize my classroom so that the students' instructional time could be maximized.

The black crates with the hanging file folders have worked wonders in allowing my students to easily access their task cards. My students do a lot of group work and independent work so having their tasks cards organized in these crates gives them a way to easily grab their next task card when they complete the task that they are on. (I know they are complete when they turn on their desks lights that you guys gifted us as well!)

The color drawers have also played a tremendous role in the day-to-day operation of the classroom. Students can easily grab their groups' basket which contains all the materials they will need for the day. The multiple colors help me to organize the materials by class, by grade level and by day!

Having the bookshelves as a space to store interactive notebooks and folders has significantly decreased the amount of time used in finding and distributing notebooks. They go straight to the shelves as soon as they arrive at the class and begin their daily writing tasks. Pencils can be found in the supply bags at their desks which is another thing you guys provided to our learning environment.

The faces of the students when they saw the multiple boxes stacked in the classroom and I began to open them up were priceless. They were so inquisitive and wanted to know immediately if they would be able to use all of the new supplies! The excitement when I said yes was a beautiful moment. The students even helped me put some of the items together. (We are definitely engineers in this STEM Lab!)

Your gift will continue to work wonders for my students as the school year progresses and even in future years. As we begin our unit on programming robots and learning how to conduct research, we will be able to maximize our learning by eliminating the time wasted on gathering materials and passing out supplies. Thank you so much for your donation and I hope you know that your donations have impacted the lives of over 400 very special students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Adams
