  • Empowering Students for Success: Reading Intervention

    Funded Jan 1, 2025

Thank you for your support in my most recent project, funding reading intervention materials that have been such a crucial tool in supporting students of varying reading levels in my special education classroom. Having the tactile pieces, cards of the game have further promoted engagement for students, as most students prefer a hands on approach to learning, rather than spending time completing worksheets, or workbooks.

Students within my intervention program are already asking me what other materials will I be implementing in the classroom and eager to grab the centers purchased in this project for small group instruction!

My students and I are extremely grateful for your contributions and we cannot thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ortiz

  • New Beginnings

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Classroom 318 cannot thank you enough for your generous contributions to our classroom. The purchased supplies have increased the amounts of texts in our classroom library, with texts of high-interest that students gravitate towards and truly love. The library is a center source of our classroom environment and is the core to classroom activities and will guide our upcoming book club collaborative. Due to the range of reading levels in the classroom, having access to varied leveled of texts truly makes a difference for accessibility purposes.

Thank you again for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ortiz

  • A Literature Journey

    Funded Feb 17, 2022

Thank you again for your generosity towards my students for the academic school year. Providing access to varying texts has promoted a love for reading and allowed students to challenge themselves. Graphic novels have transformed the classroom, providing engagement and eagerness to join ELA class on a daily basis. The texts funded will also be used for in the incoming sixth graders, as they begin their journey for the following year.

Thank you for your support and I appreciate your financial aid in a time where it is difficult for me at this moment.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ortiz

  • Navigate the Unknown

    Funded Sep 5, 2021

Now that we have officially entered the second marking period of the academic school year, words cannot express our appreciation for your generous donations. With your support, students have accessibility to the resources needed to make them successful. As students transitioned back into the building this school year, the materials you helped to purchase, lifted the burden off families having to provide additional funds and materials that they could not afford.

Once again, thank you for your donations and we hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving with your families!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ortiz
