  • Snack Attack

    Funded Feb 12, 2025

Thank you all so much for your kind and generous donations! My students are so excited to know that they will have access to yummy and healthy snacks throughout our school day. These snacks will help to relieve the pressure my students have surrounding food. These snacks will keep all of my students full and focused throughout the school day. These snacks will fuel their brains and allow them to learn all that they can throughout our school day! We just can't thank you all enough for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Winningham

  • Goal Setting: Timer Style

    Funded Feb 14, 2025

Thank you all so much for your kind words and generous donations to our classroom project this school year.

These timers will help my students who have difficulty managing their time. This is a very important life skill for life-long success. Many of my students have identified learning disabilities or other diagnosis that interrupt their ability to stay engaged in difficult tasks. These different timers will allow students to set specific goals of what work they can complete in a reasonable amount of time.”

  • Scooting Our Way to Health!

    Funded Dec 20, 2024

Thank you all so much for your kind words and generous donations to our classroom projects this school year. We have been so excited and blessed to have these scooters in our gym classes. These wonderful scooters can be used with every grade and every class in the building.

My students have enjoyed strengthening both their cardiovascular endurance and their muscles.

We don't currently have a full class set of scooters, so we are getting to share the scooters among the students. We have been able to work on our sharing and social skills as well.”

  • "Who Would Win" = When Students Read Nonfiction Everyone Wins!

    Funded Dec 7, 2024

Thank you all so much for your generous donations! My students love to read non fiction books and nifty topics like Pandas and Earthquakes. Series books are some of their absolute favorites.

Once students find a series of books that they enjoy they are always left wanting more. Students beg me to purchase these wonderful books for them. Your donations have helped to make their reading dreams come true.

We can't wait to dig into these lower-level series readers to keep us excited for the wonderful world of books.”

  • Pop Rocks and Fun Dip = Chemical and Physical Changes

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you all so much for your kind words and generous donations to our classroom project.

We had so much fun learning about chemical and physical changes through this project. Students were able to learn about how physical and chemical changes, and affect the world around them.

Students loved experimenting and learning about how water and even their own saliva created chemical reactions. They are now able to describe and define each type of reaction and what they look like in the real world.”

  • Diwali Diversity!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations! My students were so excited to receive so many books with characters that look that them! Often times my students share that there are no Spanish or Latina/Latino characters in their books, and if there are any characters of color they are often bullies or villains! My students were filled with hope and joy while reading these wonderful novels! Some of the books are a little advanced for my students, but they are so excited to read these books that they are pushing themselves to new heights!”

  • Benchmark Booster!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you all so much for your kind words and generous donations to our classroom project this school year.

This bingo project has helped us to celebrate how far we have come this school year by making positive choices in both the areas of behavior and academically.

These small tokens have helped our students to create new goals for the remainder of the school year to continue to grow and make changes.

We can not thank you all enough for all of your donations to our project. This project has really helped my students to know that people out there care for them.”

  • Basketball Brilliance: A PE Make Over!

    Funded Oct 29, 2024

Thank you all so much for your kind words and generous donations to our classroom project this school year! My students have absolutely loved having these variety-sized basketballs in gym class.

Many of the students at my school are incredibly kind and want to do their best, but sometimes typical classroom topics like math and reading can be very difficult for these students. Physical education class allows them to show their brilliance in another way. Having basketballs that are a variety of sizes allows even the littlest learners to show what they know.”

  • Let's Rock Learning

    Funded Dec 6, 2024

Thank you all so much for supporting our classroom and learning this school year. This project has provided students the opportunity to learn through real hands on exploration. Students see rocks everyday, but never stop to be curious or wonder where these rocks come from and how they are made. This inquiry lesson allowed students to not only learn about rocks, but fossils and different career paths. Students discovered the career paths of paleontology and geologist. Thank you so much for all of your help this year.”

Our school is a rather small school in South Carolina. This school is a Title One school were 98% of the students are living below the poverty line. My classroom is one of great diversity. The majority of my students are African American and Hispanic. These students show me everyday that even though they are not the most economically privileged they are by far the sweetest, most understanding and the hardworking students that I have ever had the pleasure of teaching and learning from.
