My fifth-grade special education students and I bid hasty goodbyes in March, not realizing we wouldn't be back in school for the rest of the year. My students are struggling during lessons because they don't have the right tools to participate in activities. We just started an art program- Studio in a School. My students love it but they don't have the right materials. I was moved to see them try to make collages last week, without glue and colored paper. These supplies, like markers, paper, pencils, and glue along with coloring books will motivate and engage students now.
