• 3D Printing Filaments

  My students and myself will never be able to thank you enough for your kind donation to my classroom. The 3D Printer that you donated has helped my students explore STEAM designs and 3D techniques.

  We have been using our 3D Printer to include the Science and Technology components in our STEAM projects.

  Our school needs to receive the title I government funds to sustain basic functionality in our classrooms. 98% of our student population qualifies for free or reduced lunch because of the low household incomes. That is why we do not have extra funds to expose the students to current technology, as they need to be.

  Hence, you might begin to understand how donations like yours have helped close the achievement gap amongst our students who not only come from low-income families but also are English Language Learners.”

  My students love coming to the art room to create art and STEAM projects. Thanks to your generosity, they will be using different types of materials to unleash their imagination.

  Because my school is located in a financially challenged neighborhood, I cannot ask the Parent-Teacher Association to fund art supplies like in other schools. Our art budget is limited and at times even inexistent depending on the school's priorities.

  Watching my students experience STEAM projects in an exciting way is priceless.

  We are looking into attending several STEAM competitions this school year. The students need every boost of confidence they can get to thrive in solving and presenting their projects.

  They will attend a county-wide STEAM event where a majority of schools from our school district compete and showcase their knowledge and skills. It is streamed live online and supported by various local entities. Even our Mayor is going to be present!

• H.O.P.E. Contest T-Shirts

  Thank you for supporting our students in presenting their STEAM based activities.

  By providing the funds to purchase the t-shirts you are encouraging our students to be proud of their school and their projects.

  They will wear them in competitions where different communities and schools are represented. These events will be recorded on videos and with pictures.

  The t-shirts will also bring about a sense of belonging and accomplishment. This heightened sense of self-esteem will definitely contribute in being in the right spirit to win.”

  My Oak Grove students proudly wore their t-shirts at a prominent regional STEAM Expo to represent their school.

  As I was not sure if I was going to be able to provide them with these t-shirts, I had to wait until the day before the event to give them out. They were smiling and giggling with excitement when they received them.

  We would like to get more STEAM t-shirts to show off the students' competitive spirit in future competitions. Hopefully donorschoose will come through again!

  Your generosity is going to go a loooong way, especially during these times of cautiously learning using technology in the classrooms.

  The laptops that you are giving our students were badly needed at our school. We have been struggling with keeping up with technology.

  But now it is essential for the safety of our students that each child uses one laptop. Sharing equipment will no longer work during this pandemic.
