Math Masters
Funded May 9, 2018Our students use the 120 chart daily in our classroom upon arrival and during math lessons in the afternoon. It is such an imperative resource and they love being able to use them over and over again! In addition, the frog number lines have been a big hit! They really enjoy seeing the frogs hop forward and backward on the number lines and teaching students how to use number lines has never been easier. Lastly, the magnetic double ten frames have been used to help students add within 10 and 20. It is easier for them to see how to make a 10 with the magnetic counters.
The math manipulatives are always available to our students. They have the freedom to choose which manipulative or tool to assist them with their math problems. We will continue to use these tools with our students this year and for many years to come! We are excited to introduce our math centers next month!
We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support. It is because of people like you that our students have access to math manipulatives!!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by General Motors and 5 other donors.Chromebooks
Funded Mar 30, 2018The Chromebooks that were donated have been beyond helpful in my classroom. We had old computers in our classroom that were broken and the students could not use them. My students used the Chromebooks to complete lessons on iReady, listen to videos on BrainPop Jr., and to search the Internet using kid-friendly educational websites.
They absolutely loved having access to the computers because before that we would have to take a trip to the computer lab, which is not always available. The smiles on their faces when we opened the packages were more than I hoped and imagined. It is because of kind, generous people like you who made that happen for my students!
I will continue to use the Chromebooks in my classroom this upcoming school year. The beginning of the year is hard for any student, but it can be especially stressful and challenging for my students with special needs. I know the Chromebooks will be useful as reinforcers and to help with transitions for my students with special needs.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

Let The Children Move!
Funded Sep 13, 2017I am writing this letter to thank you for your generous donations to my class' education. The money you donated was used to help the students focus during lessons, take brain breaks, and feed their bellies. The students were beyond excited when they opened the packages!
The wobble chairs have really helped our students focus and attend during lessons. The wobble chair base is slightly rounded at the bottom, allowing for a gentle and quiet rocking movement. Many of our students fall out of their chairs and/or have difficulty staying in their seat, however, I have noticed an immediate improvement since the wobble chairs entered our classroom.
Once again, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! You have all really helped us have a successful school year.”
With gratitude,
Ms. von Hagen
