Thank you so much for providing tools for my students to be able to self-soothe. It is so important to build upon strategies for students to be able to coop with overwhelming emotions. Students often feel frustrated, uncomfortable, confused, angry and a whole host of emotions. Teaching them healthy ways to identify, release, and transform those emotions into healthier avenues has been a blessing. Students have been a bit calmer this year with all of these new strategies we have put into place. I cannot wait to continue with these healthy habits.”

Thank you so much for ensuring that my students hit the ground running when we are back to school in September. I have so many project ideas for the upcoming school year. Your contribution to our classroom will really go a long way. These new supplies will help us develop new activities to keep the students active and engaged. I cannot wait to see how my students react to these new projects. I am excited to see them participating in group discussions to create meaningful surveys to create their charts.”

Thank you for providing the tools for all of my students to be successful. Having the correct materials for my students that can explain things in a different, better way than I can. It has been such a blessing for my students to have games to play with during the summer program that can keep them engaged and focused even over the summer months. It's important to reinforce the concepts and skills that they have learned throughout the year so they can build on what they have learned on the upcoming year.”

Thank you so much for helping my students. They can now stay active and engaged in their studies even over the summer. It is important to keep students' minds focused on the things that they have already learned. They can reinforce the material that was covered throughout the year with these summer packets so that they can build upon it in the next year. It has been so fulfilling to come up with new and interesting ways to keep students learning and growing. Thank you again for providing us the tools we need.”

I love books. I want to pass on my passion for books to my little ones. I love having the time to curl up with a good book and see all their engaged faces looking back at me to see what will happen next in the story. I love collaborating with the media center/library teacher to create unique literary experiences for our students. Young students are like sponges. They can absorb so much information and learn so many new things. I want to ensure that I expose my students to as much as I can using the world of books.”

Thank you so much for providing our classroom with a new collection of books that are relevant and relatable. I love to expand the classroom library. I strive to educate the whole child, meaning that I want to have them grow not only academically but socially and emotionally as well. Life lessons are what they will carry with them throughout their academic careers. I really want my students to thrive and exceed all expectations. Let us shatter that glass ceiling. Thank you for making female future leaders of tomorrow.”

Thank you so much for providing supplies for my students to create original works of art that help them feel empowered. It's so important these days to reinforce these social emotional lessons. I find myself needing a little boost of confidence and affirmations. Every class period I have my students start with some positive affirmations and artist stretches. I think it is so important to focus the mind and body before starting any project. I am so excited to share with you the amazing new projects they will create in the studio.”
Thank you so much for all of our new books. It has been so great to be able to expand our classroom library. We have read a new book every day. I also try to pair a lot of activities with the different books. We have created artworks, puppets, and paintings based on what we have read. The children really enjoy having storytime. It really breaks up the day and helps them center themselves and relax for a couple of minutes. We sometimes read a book in the morning right after circle time or right after lunch while they are still digesting and just need a few minutes to unwind with a good book.”
Happy Spring! It has been amazing to watch our plants sprout and grow. I love watching my students' faces of shock and wonder as they see the new buds sprout. It is great to see their little hands planting, watering, and nurturing their garden. For inner city kids this is a truly enriching experience. My students seem to be blossoming right along with their plants. They are eager to come to school to check the progress of their garden. They go home excited to share the news and events of the day with their families. Thank you for providing this unique experience for my students.”

Thank you so much for helping my students keep the classroom neat and tidy. It has been such a transformation for the classroom to have these curtains covering up the clutter on our shelves. We need a lot of supplies to create our unique works of art so it is nice to have then readily accessible but also happily tucked away from view. We love stepping into a classroom that has everything in its place. It is so great to have people like you care about our classroom. We have keep creating, imagining, and inventing.”

With the help of donors, we can provide basic art supplies to the art room. We want to provide the tools for students to be able to learn and explore in and out of the classroom. We want to provide a quality education for each child. Through the arts, students build their creativity, critical thinking skills, self-esteem, and explore hidden talents. Students also need an outlet, a form of self-expression. We also want to beautify our school with student work in every hallway. We want to make the school a hub for the community where students and parents can attend art shows, after school programs, and other community functions.
