  • English Language Learners Raise the Bar to Success!

    Funded Nov 16, 2018

On behalf of the English Language Learners at PS 115M, please accept our heartfelt gratitude for the listening center radio, writing folders and writing skills building center that your company bestowed upon my students.

These materials will help my ELL's listen to stories and make them aware of the correct way to speak when they listen to news words. The folders will keep their work organized, help them with visual displays of the alphabet, and how to describe their ideas when they are writing. Also the 3 pocket organizer helps them to plan, write and finish their work which is a great tool to use when writing.

The skill building center has activities to help the ELL's boost their writing skills by learning all about nouns, verbs and adjectives. This helps the students produce and expand complete sentences and supply reasons or details in their writing.

These students are our future and we believe that every opportunity is a step up to success. Many of my students in need will benefit gratefully from your donation.

Thank you for your support : )”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. E. Vargas

  • Magnetic Whiteboard Needed for ESL Students

    Funded Nov 12, 2008

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for funding our magnetic board proposal. The ELL students will benefit greatly when using it in the classroom. Students at the same time will not be exposed to all the toxins that come from the chalkboards. Using their own whiteboard will excite them in learning more because they love to write on them when we use the small ones during math and reading activities. Thank you from the bottom of our little hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. E. Vargas

  • Wanted. Copier for ESL Students

    Funded Jun 23, 2008

I want to THANK YOU for funding our proposal. My ESL kids will benefit greatly having their own copy machine to create and reproduce their wonderful crafts. Having a copy machine in the classroom helps us reproduce materials that we sometimes need in a short period of time.

We will also copy our most precious crafts and put them in our portfolios.

Thank you for sharing & caring!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. E. Vargas

  • Computers Needed for ESL students

    Funded Dec 19, 2005

I can't "Thank You" enough for the wonderful opportunity in giving my ESL students the chance to learn a second language through technology.

I know they will be excited in using their new computers. Using these computers in a small group setting will allow them to learn a new language in a whole different way. It will be learning made easy and fun.

Once again thank you for your donation because with this you have made allot of students learn a new language rewarding”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. E. Vargas
