Being in a self contained special education class as a middle schooler can be tough. Unlike your general education peers, you are stuck in the same classroom throughout the whole day. You are in the same room with the same 6-8 other peers for the whole year. You are not always given the independence and space that a middle schooler craves. I would like to provide my students with a listening center. The listening center would give the students some independence during academic stations. It would also give them a place to relax and be alone during quiet time or free time. The listening center includes a cassette/cd player with built in bluetooth so I can stream books right from my phone! I am also asking for a few Dr. Seuss books, our classes favorite author!
