Fueling Minds and Hearts: Snacks for Our SEL Corner
Funded Oct 26, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our SEL corner with your generous snack donations! The excitement on my students' faces when they saw the fully stocked corner was priceless. They immediately felt cared for and valued, knowing someone had thought about their needs. These snacks not only provide nourishment but also help students refocus and manage emotions during tough moments. Your kindness has made our classroom a safer, happier place, and we are all so grateful for your support.
The snacks have also created a sense of community in our classroom. Students often encourage their peers to visit the SEL corner when they see someone feeling overwhelmed or struggling. It's heartwarming to see them looking out for one another, sharing resources, and fostering an environment of empathy and kindness. These moments wouldn't be possible without your generosity, and it's inspiring to witness the difference it has made in their lives.”

Education is the Most Powerful Weapon
Funded Aug 16, 2019Thank you so much for supporting my students. To my repeat donors I appreciate your support so much you have no idea how grateful I am. I am committed to providing students with a relevant curriculum that develops lifelong skills, and it is inspiring to see so many others that share my vision for education. The tools that you have funded will enable students to engage in problem solving deeply connected to their communities and their lives. It will allow for them to be organized and self sufficient at the same time. The students absolutely loved the cellphone pockets donated. Everyday they look forward to placing their cellphone in the chart at the beginning of class and trusting that it would still be there once class is over. This helps me with maintaining classroom engagement. Thank you so much for your support.”

Funded Jan 1, 2019Thank you so much for donating to my classroom and helping my students become better leaders/ learners. The sentence correction books has been a big hit in my classroom. I never imagined that my students would be so eager to correct sentences as a do now. When I don't have it down as the do now for the day they go crazy. As a result of practicing sentence structures, I now have students who I no longer have to remind about punctuation marks ,grammatical errors, and capitalization. I also have students who enjoy writing. Not only do they enjoy writing but they are able to keep it organized by using their writing folders. Coming from an elementary school setting I was very hesitant on ordering a carpet for my students because i had this idea in my head that they were too old for carpet reading. However that turned out to be a hit as well. I cannot tell you how many days my students beg me to listen to the read aloud at the carpet as opposed to at their desk. The carpet allowed for a more intimate connection and provided deeper engagement for the students. I could go on for hours telling you all about my classroom and the great strides my students have made this year thanks to you. However time or space is not on my side. Thank you so much for believing in me and my students. We greatly appreciate it.”

With The Right Tools Anything Is Possible!
Funded Sep 20, 2017Thank you so much for your donations. My students absolutely love the new carpet . It's so much bigger than our last carpet and it helps with organization on the carpet. Students are assigned carpet colors which eliminates the need for them to argue about carpet spots. We use our dry erase boards heavily during phonics and ELA. The children love chunking words and writing Sentences on it. The sandtimers are used as self assessment tools for my students who have a hard time starting and / or finishing work in a timely manner. The seat sack are great for decreasing classroom clutter and for organization. It eliminates the amount of movement the children make between the library and their desk. Children keep note books, pencils, reading books and workbooks in their seat sack. It teaching them about responsibility because they are responsible for keeping their seat sacks organized and clean.
When the materials arrived into my classroom it was like Christmas in October. The children were so excited to see all the goods I took out of the box. The carpet arrived first and immediately the children wanted to partake in carpet work. They were so excited. Having these materials encourage the children to want to learn and work harder. They are always so excited to use the sand timer during math time. When we have friendly competition in the classroom they can't wait to flip their timers over and complete the assigned work. You guys have made a great difference in the life of my students. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
