At the end of each day, my students take part in 45 minutes of active play. They meet with me to make a plan, then head to one of six stations including art, house, blocks, math, writing, and books. At these stations, the students practice their social skills, fine motor skills, and problem-solving all while accomplishing their tasks. Afterward, the students will recap what they have accomplished and showcase their work to the other students.
Providing students with the resources they need to be creative is essential. All of the products here would help accomplish that goal. My students deserve the chance to let their imaginations take form in their art, and I am hopeful I can give them that opportunity!
