  • Turn Up the Music!

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you so much for the donations. We have had our speaker for a few months and we use it daily. The students love music and they are fascinated that the music gets to move around with us and follow us everywhere we go. During our outdoor activities, we take our speaker with us and play nursery rhymes and Disney songs. They love dancing along with the music. During quiet time, we listen to classical music to help us relax ourselves. We also use our speaker to amplify the sound when using technology such a laptop to work on lesson activities that include viewing educational videos. Thank you for making our preschool happier.”

    With gratitude,

    Funded Apr 20, 2022

Thank you so much for all your support. The divider will make a difference in my students’ education. They will be able to have some quiet space of their own to calm down when needed. Now, our classroom will have two quiet room dividers to support our students social-emotional needs and focus their I am so thankful to everyone who donated to our class project.”

  • Shh! Learning in Progress.

    Funded Oct 14, 2021

since our quiet room divider has arrived in our classroom, we have used it daily during our small group rotations and when working one on one with students that need more support. The first reaction from students was "wow, what is it"...its blue" The divider has worked really well with my students that need a more quiet and distraction free area so that they may focus during our lesson activities. It has worked so well that my next donors choose project I will ask for one more divider so that my co-teacher may use it with our students during small group rotations as well.”

  • Light Up Our Learning with Light Table!!

    Funded Nov 27, 2018

Thank you so much for the donations so we could get our light table. Our program which consists of both general and special education students are enjoying using it daily. They love to use it to make different patterns and build things using the magna tiles. The light table is easily accessible to the students. This will be an amazing resource for years to come. The students are excited to use the light table and its accessories every time we have our indoor center activities. On behalf of my students and my school, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping our future leaders.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nunez

Light tables are not just for x-ray technicians, artists, or photographers. They are found in many classrooms too. Adults and students are drawn to light tables for discovery and play because the light on the surface illuminates the materials resting on top. The light can be changed into different colors depending on the preference of the students. The interest can be utilized to create opportunities to practice math and fine motor skills on the light up table activities using translucent accessories. Light up tables cost hundreds of dollars which makes them a luxury that we can not afford in our class. To provide my students with multiple ways to practice their fine motor skills, I spend my free time making play dough and setting up sensory bins with materials I have purchased at Michaels, Walmart, and Target. Having a light up table will allow me to save time on constantly having to search for the perfect materials for my students.
