  • Pencils and Paper Makes Life Greater!

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

My students have been able to hit the ground running thanks to your generous donations! We have the basic essentials that have launched us through this year. The students were so excited to see that we received brand new pencils and markers to use on their marker boards. They honestly couldn't believe that people that they have not met cared enough to provide supplies for them. They now know that when they come into my class all they have to worry about is what they will learn for the day. The printer paper has allowed us to do so many creative science activities that we wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. So far we have created a poster including hand drawn maps, pictures, and explanations of the natural resources this world has to offer. The used paper is also not going to waste; students are currently learning how to create new paper from their recycled pieces.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tindle

  • Team Work And Organization Makes The Dream Work!

    Funded Jul 20, 2016

I would like to thank you all for helping make my students have a wonderful school year thus far! We have been using our bins everyday to keep notebooks, drawing/writing supplies, and folders in order. It has become an integral part of our instructional day.

When all 5 organization bins were rolled to my class room and placed at each students groups, everyone's eyes lit up. They could not fathom the possibility that anyone would be so kind as to donate such useful items for them. They were excited to have more space in their desk and not have to search for their note books throughout the day. Students use the bins every time we switch to a new subject, working as a team to collect and return supplies into their designated spots. The students are able to maintain organization on their own now and take great pride and passing out their supplies to each other.

We will continue to use these organization bins for years to come. They are extremely durable and will improve the everyday lives of students within my classroom far beyond this year alone. My deepest gratitude go out, once again, to everyone who has helped us reach our goals and gave us the power to shine!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tindle

  • Keeping Learning Fun and Engaging with Interactive Notebooks!

    Funded Jul 5, 2016

    Dear Donors,

I would like to truly thank everyone who has donated and shared my donors choose page! My children have the greatest start to this school year because of all of you! They are able to cut out the many interactive notebook inserts, that I can print out with all the paper donated, and happily glue them into their note books. They are coloring with their brand new crayons and markers to make each activity their own, and to bring some fun into the lessons! We have just recently used the crayons, markers, glue, and paper to create an Hispanic Heritage display for Hispanic heritage month! We would have struggled to complete this assignment without your help!

My students first got to lay their eyes on their brand new material the second week of school. There little faces lit up with excitement when they realized that they wouldn't have to beg their parents to find the money to get them a pack of crayons, scissors, or glue. They were also astonished that the crayons were Crayola brand, as they often cannot afford to use the name brand crayons and make due with the dollar store packs that often don't color very well at all. They could not believe that people in this world would be so kind as to give all this to them.

As the school year begins rolling, we plan to continue to use these supplies in our interactive notebooks. We will also be able to complete many more class projects involving adding artistic contributions to each one. This week students have begun to work on a science project on endangered species. They are required to complete a poster that explains why their animal of choice should be saved. All students will now have access to any and all materials to make their presentation spectacular!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Tindle

Hello Potential Donor! Thank you for taking time to view my welcome message. I am a 4th grade public school teacher within the Philadelphia School District. We have been experiencing drastic cuts in funding down to the very basics of pencils and paper for a number of years now. However, my students and I come to school each day with bright spirits and a hunger to learn. These students are very bright and nourish their gifts/abilities when challenged with appropriate curriculum and learning materials. Your donation truly makes a difference and the children and I thank you!
