The students and staff at our school community would like to thank the donors for the sustainable school supplies, including bare essentials to wanted needs. Your generosity in bringing resources, tools, and supplies to an urban community suffering great economic strife is greatly appreciated.

Students will use the resources before school, during study hall sessions, during their environmental science instruction courses, and during our lunch and learn program. With partnerships for our students, such as Donors Choose, the resources for our students will be further expanded.

Again, thank you, donors, for your benevolence from our students, staff, and families.””

  • Learning Alive!

    Funded Sep 8, 2018

My project has been funded, and my students and I are all tremendously excited! With your support, we will be able to turn my class into a more engaging place, where the students will be able to get some hands and minds on experience. I am confident that this will increase interest in science, and thus understanding of abstract concepts.

This funding has come right on time. As I start the new 2018-2019 school year, I am looking forward to including the Aquarium in my practice. I am delighted that I will be able to use all of these materials in an exciting and appropriate way to fuel student learning and achievement. Thanks so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Thomas-Murray

I teach a set of students in a traditional classroom setting who love learning about the ever-changing world of science and are captured by the fact that every day brings new discoveries in science. My students are apart of a school community that receive Title 1 school funding which is a federal grant, to support my students who are from low income households which entitles them to free breakfast, lunch and dinner. My students are also a diverse population of learners which includes Special Education and English Language Learners. My students need a space that promotes movement that matches the 21st century which will energize and boost their engagement.
