I would greatly benefit from a MacBook Pro to remain connected with my students while I teach in person and remote students simultaneously. One major issue I encounter is the inability to navigate various tabs while instructing and monitoring. My technology freezes, lags, my camera goes off, and it disconnects me. I have taught from the school building, thinking the issues were a connectivity issue, but they were not. I encountered the same problems while in the school network. The MacBook Pro will allow me to connect with all my students, provide best visual possible, and navigate multiple web pages while monitoring and teaching my students in the virtual classroom and in person. Despite language barriers, computer literacy, financial status and limited technology available at home, our parents do everything in their power to ensure their children log in and have all materials needed for the day. They go out of their way to ensure the technology provided by the school is functioning properly in order to access websites and programs needed during class and small groups while working on their individualized needs. The MacBook Pro will ultimately ensure I don't loose valuable time and students' joint attention during read alouds and interactive lessons.
