iPad to the Rescue
Funded Mar 2, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation. The iPad helped bridge the gap for remote learning for many of my students. I would use the iPad to show my students how to do specific things, like annotate a text, open apps, logging on to websites and more. Also, it was very useful during our math lessons. I used the iPad like a document camera, and showed how to solve step by step in real time. It helped students see how to tackle problems from the beginning to the end, before I would share my screen from my laptop to show them this, but the iPad made it so much easier! I could see things how they saw it, this changed the way I did things.
My students were really excited when I told them we got an iPad! Most of them have iPads as their school device for remote learning already. But when they saw it, they said things like "now you can show me how to use that app on the iPad!" It is amazing to have the same device as many of my students, in this way I can understand how to help them when tech issues come up, or even show them a better way to do something.
Along with the iPad, we also got some extra things like dry erase dots, storage containers, baby wipes, a clock, and Lysol wipes. We use the dry erase dots for our small group table, when we returned back to school in-person. Storage containers helped us organize the classroom. The baby wipes and lysol wipes help us to keep our classroom clean and safe. The clock is useful because we can practice telling time in real life, and supports our telling time unit in math.
Your contribution has changed our classroom for the better. We are so grateful, thank you so very much.”

Digital Resources to Keep Learning Alive!
Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you for your generous donations to my project. I requested gift cards from teachers pay teachers, it is a website where teachers can purchase a wide variety of quality resources made by other teachers.
I often use teachers pay teachers as a resource to find additional material to differentiate for my students. It has been amazing especially this year since I am teaching in an integrated co-teaching classroom. I have students who need more visuals. Teachers pay teachers is the first place I go to when I know my students are struggling with a concept. For example, when we were learning about arrays, my students were having a difficult time, I purchased an array resource it was filled with visuals and many practice pages, it helped my students understand arrays more conceptually. I was also able to purchase math games to practice rounding, another concept my students were struggling with.
The gift cards help both my students and I, because they have fun with the resources I purchase. And I feel good knowing that I can help my students understand concepts in fun and creative ways that I would not have thought of. My students and I are grateful for your support, thank you for helping us learn so much more!”

This classroom project was brought to life by FamilyAlbum and 8 other donors.Writers Need Ink and Pads!
Funded Feb 14, 2020Thank you so much for your contribution. In my project, I requested ink for my colored printer, and chart paper.
The colored ink was useful because we were running low. I used colored ink to print various material for my students. It came just in time for our social studies fair, as a class we studied China, I included our poster board as one of the photos to share with you. We printed so many photos to include in our project with the ink. I also used the ink to make various color coded editing checklists for my students. When I use materials that are printed in color, I noticed my students are more engaged in the lesson.
We used the chart paper to make different charts. Some examples include, expectations, strategies charts, and vocabulary charts. This particular post it chart paper is useful because we can create quick charts to remind us what we already learned, especially when we are learning a challenging concept. Our strategies to find products with multiples of 10 chart was one of them, this chart is included in the photos. The ability to stick the chart on the closet (because it has a sticky back) without tape or clothespins makes my life so much easier too! My students enjoy seeing their charts in our classroom. It gives them a sense of pride, and they are much more motivated to use the charts.
My students are grateful that there are people that they don't even know, who want them to succeed, I am so appreciative for you too. Thank you for helping us from the bottom of our hearts.”

Supplies for Success
Funded Aug 31, 2019Thank you for your amazing contributions to my classroom. They have changed the way we learn! I am going to talk about each item and the impact they have on my classroom so that you can get a full picture of how your contributions have changed our classroom in the best way!
1. Privacy Partitions, these have been a game changer for my students, they no longer have to put up folders for tests and they create a sort of barrier for each student. They are much taller then folders and so much better to create a distraction free environment.
2. Wind Machine Fan - these fans have been great at keeping the room cool. They are placed at two opposite spots in the room and provide a relief to the hot temperatures we experience randomly throughout the day. My students are so much happier when they are not sweltering!
3. Plastic Stack Stools - these stools have been amazing complement to our small group table. They fit perfectly under the table, and are so easy to move around the room. The stools also help keep open spaces throughout the room, when we were using the regular metal chairs, the space was tight. My students also enjoy having a different seating choice throughout the day.
4. Classroom Supply Caddies - these supply caddies have been an excellent tool to organize community supplies for groups. It is a home for pencils, scissors, post-its and glue. It helps ensure that we are using all of time wisely since the tools we need are right at our fingertips.
5. Removable Vinyl Dots Sticker- these dry erase circles have made life easier, because students no longer have to get up to grab a small whiteboard to show their thinking and losing instructional time. They can just write on the table, because the dots adhere to the table! It is a huge time saver, and my students love the idea of writing on the table. We use the dry erase circles to show mathematical thinking as well as sketch out ideas for writing!
6. Vertical Desktop Sorter and Classroom Keepers Construction Paper Storage- these paper organizers help keep us organized. We have lots of resources for reading and writing such as checklists, mentor texts, rubrics. The paper organizers provide a home for our expanding resources. It is also encouraging independence amongst students, they know where everything is within these paper organizers so they can easily get what they need when they need it!
7. 30 Pack Dry Erase Lapboard Classroom Set & Expo Low Odor Dry Erase Markers 36 Count- these individual whiteboards and markers ensure that every student has a space to show their mathematical thinking, we especially use them in small group instruction. Also writing on whiteboards is so much more fun then on paper!
8. Sorry! Game, Jenga, Uno, Connect 4, Connecting Flakes- these games are used as an incentive for hard work on Fridays. Students love the chance to practice their skills in these games, they are becoming quite the competitors. In a world where everything is becoming digital, it is nice for the students to have fun with board games, and tactile games!
When we got these items, my students were so excited that we got these resources from donors! They were literally jumping up and down with exhilaration! My students constantly express how grateful they are to have these items in our classroom and the difference its made.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you your donations have truly changed my classroom in the best way.”

Seeing Things In Colored...Printing
Funded Mar 25, 2019Thank you so much for your support in getting a colored printer for my classroom. It has been a game changer in my classroom. My students are able to color print their projects and make them come to life! It also helps me differentiate instruction for my various students such as my English Language Learners and my students who need extra support. Having a colored printer helps my students see more visually and in color in a way that they could not with just black and white printing. My students open up more and want to talk more when we work with colored images, especially my ELLs.
The colored printer helps my students because it motivates them to complete projects so they can color print it and take it out, hot off the printer. It is also encourages my students to put more thought into their projects because they know that once it's beautifully printed it is going up on the bulletin board to show it off.
Donors I can't thank you enough for the colored printer, your donations are greatly appreciated and will continue to be appreciated for years to come.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Tejiram
