Fueling Science Through STEM
Funded Oct 17, 2018I would like to take a moment to express how your generous donation has impacted my classroom. Science has never been this exciting to my scholars! Thanks to you, my students now have hands-on opportunities to see science at work. Since they now have STEM manipulatives, their science scores have increased tremendously! Their conversations are enriched with scientific vocabulary because they are able to relate their real-world, problem-based activities to the content taught.
My students now have a new love and appreciation for science. Science investigations and projects have a whole new meaning. Attendance has also increased and tardiness has decreased for my scholars know that science is the first thing on our daily schedule and they don't want to miss it.
These new tools have truly help drive my instruction and my students' curiosity, which has made them eager to learn. Thanks to you, there's never a dull moment in my class! Science is truly at work!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Harrison

Funded Nov 10, 2017Though I teach math and science, it is important for my students to see these content areas' connections to reading. Integration of reading with math is powerful. Because of you, my students have been able to explore and make these connections! The markers have led to an increase of completed assignments and The Scholastic magazines have become a class favorite.
It makes me so excited when my students, especially those transitioning from a Spanish speaking classroom to an English speaking classroom, want to take a magazine home. They love the vivid pictures and the real-world experiences from the eyes of others. Each magazine offers at least one math activity that relates to its contents, which helps my students realize the importance of math in all settings.
The markers have allowed the students to take their assignments and small group activities to another level. The fact that they can use the Expo markers to write on their desk has just taken their interest in math to higher heights. Much progress has been gained since the arrival of our supplies and we owe it all to you!”

Knocking Out Math and Science Objectives Through Technology
Funded Sep 11, 2017Know that your donations are providing my students with greater access to the world wide web. Because of your generosity, my scholars have more opportunities to log into their recommended applications. Our district requires each student to utilize several sites a week for so many minutes. For a teacher this can be difficult, for many students only have access to these sites while at school and due to the lack of computers and laptops, this is merely impossible! But thanks to you, this is now achievable.
The students are most excited about the headphones, for now they can do their work with less disturbance. Less distractions brings forth greater interaction and engagement, which leads to growth.
All the students truly love our new additions, especially my Tier 3 babies. The looks on their face after completing objectives and seeing their scores increase is a teacher's dream come true!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Harrison
