The kindles will allow students to connect to the digital world. They will be able to access free apps that will help them practice their high frequency words and sight words. The students will be more in engaged in their learning experience during reading group rotations. Kindles will not only help during the students' reading block, but it will also help during math time. Students will be able to manipulate the screen to create one-to-one correspondence. Their math curriculum can also be accessed through the internet, which is a feature of the kindle. Literacy is the key to life. Building reading fluency will help students reading comprehension in years to come. Research have shown that students that succeed in reading will also be successful in the remaining core subjects. Please help my students get a jump start into the literacy world.
