  • Stop, Collaborate and Listen!

    Funded Oct 12, 2021

Thank you so much for your support! The impact you have made in my classroom is unbelievable. My students use their headphones daily and it has helped so much with their engagement with our online programs! I love having the classroom Ipad ready to go to allow myself to create more specific lessons for my small groups without having to disturb the whole group dynamic.

My students love that they do not have to share their headphones! Having a personal pair has taught them responsibility and taking pride in their classroom materials. With the Ipad, my students love have they can touch the screen and so quickly when giving dojo points. It also helps having a smaller screen when they meet with me during small groups.

My students like Oscar, Yajari, and Arely to name a few are so excited when logging into programs. They are able to stay focused on their Lexia (reading) program and also use Imagine Learning (ELL specific learning program) to help them.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sulse

    Funded Jul 21, 2019

Thank you so much for your kind gesture. There has not been one day either the students or I are not using the materials you helped purchase for our classroom. When the boxes came in August, my students were shocked. It was like Christmas to them.

Daily, I use the sanitizing wipes and spray to clean their desks and flexible seating choices. The students also LOVE having headphones. Their parents were very thrilled to hear that they did not have to purchase headphones for their kids. The students use them for their programs such as Lexia, a phonics and reading program, and ST Math their math program. We love the ample amount of dry erase markers we have also. We use our whiteboards daily to solve math problems and explain our work. This is a tool that has helped me save so much paper, but also get the kids excited to learn.

    Thank you all again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sulse

  • Materials to Make Our Classroom Our Home

    Funded Oct 4, 2018

Thank you so much for your help in funding my classroom project! My students and I are loving these new resources! I used the dry erase circles on my small group table and the students love having an interactive way to respond to our small group reading books. We have also used the dry erase circles to also celebrate our growth in our reading fluency. I was able to write students names on the dots and show them how many words they have grown since our first test! The loved seeing their names and really have the personal touch in our classroom.

When the students first saw the materials they were so excited! When we got the two new yoga balls they have been wanting more choices for flexible seating choices. We talked about how we can share them amongst all students. They also love having their very own clipboard to use in class to move around our classroom. It's so fun seeing them move around with their peers and seeing how well they work together.

My next steps are to continue to use these materials to make my students fall in love with learning. Now that I have these tools, I will be meeting with more small groups in my classroom. My next project will be updating my classroom library. Now that we have the tools to do our work in the classroom, I want my students to have a love for reading now too! That will start by having books on their level and that they enjoy.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Sulse

By starting off the year with essential school supplies will allow students to focus on their learning instead of what may not be able to bring to school. By having a strong supply of pencils and lined paper students will be able to begin the year having the tools to help them with the brainstorming and drafting process for their personal narratives. Having highlighters will allow students to mark up their readings and have visuals to help them identify text evidence. We can now begin the school year being able to create colorful text to self connection projects as we begin the year. With the usage of our new flexible seating options students will begin to have choices in what will best help their learning. By purchasing yoga balls, bungee chairs, and stools, students can begin exploring what options work best for their. We will continue to incorporate new options as the year goes on. This not only will act as a motivator for students, but also create a classroom that students will enjoy and have ownership in.
