Cheer For My Students!!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for caring. You are helping my students create amazing experiences with your donation to the "Cheer For My Students!!" project. My fourth and third grade students were so happy when the supplies arrived that they wanted to help bring the boxes in. What a joy!
I collaborated with the after school program to have some of the students participate with my students. It was a success. Everyone is cheering!
I want you to know that all the students are happy and grateful. You have made a great impact on the lives of these students. I thank you with all my heart.

Funded Mar 27, 2018It is wonderful that you liked my project from all the great projects here on DonorsChoose.org and I appreciate that you picked mine to donate and fund. The supplies came just in time as we were out of a lot of them. It was perfect timing! I quickly put out the Lysol wipes, soap, antibacterial hand sanitizer and paper towels. My students were all really excited. Each of them asked if they could help themselves. How could I say no? Parents were quite appreciative as well. Thank you for supporting me and my students.”

Funded Nov 16, 2017Thank you so much for caring. You are helping my students create good hygiene habits with your donation to the "What's that Smell? Help Me Smell Better!" project. My fourth and fifth grade students were so happy when the supplies arrived that they wanted to help bring the boxes in. What a joy!
I collaborated with the school counselor to have a talk with the students about hygiene and taking care of our bodies. It was a success. At the end of the session every student received a goody bag with all the wonderful items that you sent us. Since the session I believe that students are more conscious of their appearance and health. We are having more discussions about healthy practices at school and home. Students are being inspire to share what they are learning with their families.
I want you to know that the left over supplies are available to all the students as needed. My students are happy and grateful. You have made a great impact on the lives of these students. I thank you with all my heart.”

To Share or Not to Share? School Supplies
Funded Oct 29, 2017Thank you so much for funding this project for our classroom! Students were thrilled to receive all these school supplies. With these supplies we started working right away in our centers and making mini phonics and ABC books in our phonics center. The tape recorder is a valuable addition to the listening center. Students can follow along books or complete phonics cards that will enhance their language and reading skills. The kindergarten students are completing their lessons by coloring their answers. The classroom will be full of creative art, and reading projects that we will be able to complete with your generous donated items. Thank you and we hope you continue to support classrooms in our communities."”

Cozy Classroom Library
Funded Oct 23, 2017The bookcase, carpet and beanbags are such a fun and exciting addition to our classroom. The students were so excited to receive all the materials; one by one they gather around to open the packages as they came in. Although, they love the super cool bookcase, I think the zebra chair and beanbags are their favorites, they take turns to go read at the library. Yes, they are so happy to read. It really engaged them and all my students are eager to read books (thank you for that!). The first day I open the area they listened to a story, and they asked for more stories throughout the day. Honestly, your generosity has impacted our little classroom world and beyond. Other teachers were so inspired by your generosity that they have created projects for their classrooms as well, knowing now that there is support from people and organizations like your out there in our community. Thank you for your generosity and commitment.”

Character Building with Yoga
Funded Jul 18, 2017You have no idea how much the yoga kits and books you donated to our class have affected my students! They couldn't believe it, they wanted to use them right away, out of the box. They are so grateful and excited to use them in the classroom and afterschool. I am so grateful for being able to show my students that there are people like YOU that care and that are willing to go the extra mile to help them.
My students are mainly newcomers from kinder to 5th grade. They are all trying hard to reach their independent academic goals and to learn the language. I have students exceeding their own expectations and students that are frustrated because they miss their homes, families and friends. The breathing exercises and techniques they are learning help significantly.
I have students not in my class wanting to participate and learn yoga. They are coming afterschool now. They are having so much fun and definitely learning. They are asking more questions about yoga, which opens the door to teach them about health and why it is so important to take care of their bodies and minds.
I am truly thankful for you, and so are my students! I truly believe you have change their lives forever.”

Funded Feb 28, 2017You have no idea how much the iPads you donated to our class have affected my students! They couldn't believe someone actually gave us the iPads. They are so grateful and excited to use them to play and learn. I am so grateful for being able to show my students that there are people like YOU that care and that are willing to go the extra mile to help them.
My students are mainly newcomers from kinder to 5th grade. They are all trying really hard to reach their independent academic goals and to learn the language. I have students exceeding their own expectations. I have such a joy watching their faces light up every time they pass a test or get a skill that was hard before they could practice at their own level on the iPads.
I have two students in 4th grade that love using the online Spanish-English dictionary. They come up with excuses all the time to look for new words.
I am truly thankful for you, and so are my students! I truly believe they will never forget their first year in an American school.”

Spread the Care, Not the Germs
Funded Feb 28, 2017Thank you so much for spreading Care. You are helping keep my classroom germ free with your donation to the "Spread the Care not the Germs" project. My students were so happy when the supplies arrived that they helped bringing the boxes in. What a joy. Their faces light up as I opened the boxes and showed them the supplies. Who knew cleaning supplies will be so exciting?
My students are using the cleaning supplies and sanitizing supplies daily to maintain a healthy environment. They all clean their desk and materials at the end of the day and after messy projects. I happily clean all surfaces on Friday afternoon with the wipes and disinfecting spray to make sure they didn't miss a spot. We have placed the soap and napkins by the restroom, I have a student in charge to make sure it's always available. Another student is in charge of the tissue paper; this jobs will be rotated to provide everyone an opportunity to help. Students are more conscious of their environment and health. We are having more discussions about healthy practices at school and home. Students are being inspire to share what they are learning with their families.
I want you to know that the supplies will go a long way with my class. My students are happy and very much appreciate not getting sick and learning by attending school. You have made a great impact on the lives of these students. I thank you with all my heart.”

Ms. G.
