My 60 third graders are a vibrant group of students. They attend a Title 1 school in Baltimore City. Many of my students are far behind grade level and are still learning the value of an education. I am a new teacher and the school and have been working on teaching my students how important reading and writing is. If you talked to any one of them they could easily tell you that you use reading: every day all day. This is a chant we say each day in our classroom to help put a sense of urgency into their hearts and minds.
