  • My Science Vocabulary

    Funded Feb 14, 2018

I wanted to thank you again for your extreme generosity. My kids are over the moon with excitement on receiving the supplies for our project. They couldn't wait to start making vocabulary books - and who doesn't love new sharpies! Some of my kids were in awe at all of the different types of markers and so many different colors.

My third graders made their first batch of vocabulary notebooks and they loved the different colored paper and pens that they were allowed to use, it was adorable to see the smiles on their faces. I can't believe the difference some color can make on how a child approaches learning! They had so much fun while learning, it was amazing.”

    With gratitude,

  • Magnetic Attraction

    Funded Dec 16, 2016

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating to my kids. They are so excited! What's not to be excited about? Everybody loves magnets and my kids can't wait to use our new magnets. Especially the neodymium magnets. They are so strong! We will be working in stations with our new magnets real soon. I love giving them the opportunity to figure things out on their own. Finding out what types of materials are magnetic and which ones aren't is an objective that must be taught hands on! Again, thank you for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. St. Clair

  • Art Through STEM in the Lab

    Funded May 3, 2016

Many thanks to the donors that funded our project. My kids love using technology in the lab and using the map colors for journaling. The ability to have technology readily available is not something all of my students are used to. They get so excited when they know we are doing research projects because that means they get to use the iPads and many of my students love to show off their drawing abilities using the map colors. who would have thought hat something as simple as an iPad and colors would make such a difference in a student 's learning abilities!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. St. Clair

  • Literacy Through Science

    Funded Apr 10, 2015

My students erupted with applause and cheers when they found out we had been funded! They were so excited and couldn't wait. They also wanted to start writing the thank you notes. Such good manners!

We have used the Kindle to record information gathered during our STAAR review camp. We will be utilizing our new technology for capturing video and taking pictures. Then the children will make a video explaining their projects.

The Kindle will also be available for checkout in the mornings for reading chapter books.

Receiving this funding, has been a boon for my lab. So many different grade levels will benefit from it.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. St. Clair

I teach a 2nd grade GT class. 98% of my students are Hispanic. Many of my kids speak Spanish as a first language, thus reading fluency is an issue. We are a Title I school, predominantly low income. My kids love to do hands on learning and I would love to incorporate technology into my lessons.
