  • Our School Musical is Looking Dim- HELP! We Need Light!

    Funded May 29, 2018

Thank you so much for this awesome lighting equipment. The lights are bright and powerful, so important in making a production possible! They have provided our auditorium with the brightness it needs and will be used in so many great ways. We will be using the lights in place of our missing lights (which still have no been fixed) and to backlight and highlight different things in our school musical this year, Cinderella, Kids. We are so thankful for your help and generosity and for making all of this possible!”

  • Bright and Beautiful Costumes Needed for "Aladdin"- Our School Musical!

    Funded Dec 31, 2017

Thank you so much for the wonderful costumes- they are bright, beautiful, and authentic. They will really add to the magic of our school musical, Aladdin, Kids. The students who will be wearing these costumes deserve the best and because of you, they will have an enriched experience being in a musical. Real actors have real costumes... and that is what you have provided for the children. Jasmine's costume is totally gorgeous, the vests will go to palace guards, as well as marketplace vendors, the Sultan will proudly wear his fancy headpiece, and Genie will sparkle! I only wish I could have shown you pictures of the students wearing everything!!! Thank you again for everything you have done to support the arts at my school.”

  • Bronx 5 Grade Students Dream of Being On Stage!!!

    Funded Aug 17, 2017

I just want to thank you again, and so sorry for the delay in sending out this "Thank you package." The students who will be performing on and off stage in "Aladdin" just received their parts yesterday! They are so so so excited and were THRILLED beyond belief when they saw the materials for this project. They actually gasped with excitement! They "ooooo-ed" and "ahhhhh-ed"! I have to admit, I was also pretty excited when I opened the box for Jafar's hat and his staff... those are my favorite things!!! I even put the hat on myself just to check it out.

VERY COOL! You have truly added some major excitement to our upcoming show and I want you to know that! Thank you again and again :)”

  • Have a harp... Add a Little Extra Magic to Music!

    Funded Jan 11, 2017

Thank you so much for the gorgeous amazing addition to my music classroom! The harpsicle harp leaves students in disbelief every time they see it- they have never seen or heard a harp being played before in real life, and so when they get to actually touch it, they are in awe. Not only does it look beautiful and sound beautiful, it is light enough to carry and move around easily. It is truly a special addition to our classroom. Thank you for your donations and for making this dream come true for my students!”

  • Pre-K Students are Ready to Move!

    Funded Nov 29, 2016

Thank you so much for the materials that you have donated to my PreK students- you will be happy to know that magic markers are still one of the most exciting, amazing, fun, motivational supplies to 4 year olds!!! They have enjoyed coloring and making creative designs with the beautifully bright, vibrant colors! The scarves are also magical! The PreK students, as well as Kindergarten and 1st grade, have been using the scarves for music and movement- to reinforce their colors, shapes, vocabulary (corners, square, directional words- up, down, left, right, etc.) Students have also been enjoying "dancing with" their scarves! It has been awesome. The children are also soooo excited about using the parachute, once the nicer weather begins. We are all looking forward to it!

Thank you again, so so so so so very much!”

  • Elementary Music Classroom Needs Supplies!

    Funded Aug 4, 2015

Thank you for your generosity in funding this project. The supplies that have been donated have been used by hundreds of happy elementary school children. The wipeoff paddles and markers are not only useful for ongoing assessment during class, but as motivational tools for students. I know when I incorporate them into my lesson that every single student will want to be involved. The wall decal is also a beautiful addition to the music room. I have gotten many compliments from teachers and administrators. Thank you again for these wonderful items :)”

  • Can You Hear Us Now?

    Funded Mar 26, 2014

Thank you so much for your amazing donations toward this project! Since the supplies were received last year, 5th graders were able to make a cd at the end of the year, and students in grades K-5 have THOROUGHLY enjoyed using the portable microphone/pa. Students are motivated by the use of both microphones. They feel like true musicians! It also challenges them to be brave and get up in front of their peers... definitely a self-esteem booster to get a round of applause!!!

Students are motivated by the use of the digital microphone as well. The digital microphone is wonderful for recording, playing back, and critiquing their performance. I have also been able to layer tracks using garageband so that one class of 30 students sounds like a large choir! It is pretty amazing and students take pride in their digital performances.

Thank you again for your donations toward this project and a sincere apology in the delay of this "thank you" package!!!”

  • Drummers Wanted!

    Funded Jul 13, 2013

Thank you again for your amazing gift to my school. I cannot express in words the joy that these new materials have brought to my students. The drum set and sticks have served multiple purposes for our school music program. Students are beyond excited and motivated as soon as they see the drums. I have used them in grades 1, 2, and 5 so far, and hope to use them for many years to come. The sticks are also great for lessons in rhythm - they were used as part of training students to read/play/compose various rhythm patterns. Now that students are learning about instrument families, the drums fit right in. It is great to see students using some shiny, new instruments... very different from most of the other instruments that are available to them. Your generosity means the world to my students and to me!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Spitzer
