  • Inspire Imagination

    Funded Jul 15, 2021

The resources that this project provided were an amazing gift. The sofa and end tables created an awesome little cozy corner for my littles when they just need to recharge and gather their feelings.

The kids were so excited to sit on our new sofa and read some of the SEL books that are there to help them work out and come up with solutions to some of the feelings they experience throughout the day.

The dollhouse was another instant hit and everyone wanted to share their ideas on how we should set up our new home. We've had many HGTV moments.😀

There is no question that there will be many amazing experiences for all the little ones that will come into the room and have these materials to use over the course of many more years to come.

    Thank you for your generosity”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Padilla

  • Printers Make Projects Possible

    Funded May 3, 2021

This printer donation has helped me make some great and meaningful projects as well as refresh some classroom resources.

I have been able to create different center activities for our current unit of study and update some materials in our math center such as creating new counting mats for the children to use with the play dough.

A wonderful project that I was able to do was a memory book for each of my students as a moving up gift.

As part of our moving up celebration I was able to make beautiful invitations, programs and certificates for our Moving Up Day.

This printer helps create magic in my classroom. I am forever thankful for this donation.”

  • New Supplies=Renewed Excitement

    Funded Apr 17, 2021

There are so many wonderful experiences that the children have had because of these materials. Where do I begin.

When I showed the children the new garages and cars for our block center every one of my students wanted to go to that center. When I showed them the letter recognition activity everyone wanted to go to the literacy center. :)

The Shake and Reveal Science cards were also a great hit with the kids who had not ventured near the science area. The kit sparked a new interest and curiosity to get further answers to the questions that were the cards.

It was a wonderful chaos of delight for my students, this renewed excitement could not have been possible if not for the generosity of your donations.”

  • Opening Up Their World With Books

    Funded Mar 16, 2021

These books are amazing!! The books bring different life perspectives to my little ones.

Some make connections to my students lives, while others share a different view of life.

When I read the books to the children they always want to know a little more about the life of the main character/s or they say it's very similiar to the way they feel or live their lives.

I love the idea that my children will be able to see and "read" books that share a valuable lesson or teach a message of understanding, uniqueness and emphathy towards others.

These books are a gift that will continuing giving :)”

  • Opening Our World Through Sensory Exploration

    Funded Mar 19, 2021

We love all the new resources we received through this project. The students love all the different materials. They were a big hit with the kids.

They love going to the sensory sand, they have a great time with the stencils and their imagination runs wild when they play with the baby dolls in our dramatic play area to name a few.

The table top easel has also helped me when I do small group with the children, I can move it around to each table and work with the children on a specific skill.

Thank you to all who invested in our future: our children”

  • Literacy Through Hands On Learning

    Funded Oct 27, 2020

One of the amazing things about children is their curiosity and pure joy of learning.

I was a little hesitant to introduce the VersaTiles to my little ones, I underestimated their abilities to understand the concept of some of the books. They once again proved to me how extraordinary their developing brains are.

We "played" a few tile games together and I set up the Versatiles in our reading area, there I had the pleasure of seeing my little ones engaged in the tiles, practicing their lowercase/uppercase letter match, rhyming pictures etc...

I truly love the concept of the Versatiles, the tiles provide sensory and motor skills practice while engaging the children in learning academic skills.”

  • Great Basics For Back To School

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

With these new resources the children have been able to use their notebooks/journals to do senses activities. They explore and draw in their journals about their five senses.

When the children first saw the supplies they all wanted to go to the writing center to try out the thick pencils, colored pencils, markers and new crayons.

The also use the cardstock and index cards to practice their scissor skills which they love to work on.

We have started to introduce the children to writing their names so one thing they practice at home are the letters of the alphabet using the primary writing tablets.

The parents are super grateful for all these resources that we have in the classroom and that we have also shared with them in take home baggies for our remote days.”

  • Re-Do In The New Normal

    Funded Jul 25, 2020

This has been a year not to be forgotten. We have all needed to re-do our new normal. It has been a very interesting beginning of a school year to say the least.

With that said I just want to send my many thanks to you for making it possible for me to create a classroom that is a welcoming sanctuary for my little ones who come and enjoy the space I was able to create due to your generous donations.

They play, learn and grow in mind, body and spirit. With our new resources our room comes alive in bright beautiful centers that my little ones run around and explore all day.

They always want participate at our circle time with our "All About Today" Chart and use the discussion questions to begin conversations with their classmates.”

  • Distance Learning Through Updated Technology!

    Funded Jul 16, 2020

My school is our own little village, we support and help each other in everything we can, not only for the children, but for each other, so when the pandemic started and we had to basically abandon our school we went around the building collecting all the technology we had available and distributed to the children and their families. We then took all the laptops we had that were in fair condition and took those home to connect with our kids.

I was able to get one, but eventually a month into our remote learning, it crashed like it happened to many of us with the old models.

One of my co-teachers encouraged me to do a donors choose project and I received an amazing laptop that has all the updated functions that the old model didn't.

I can now have steady and clear google meets with my pre-k students and upload exciting little pictures and videos into our Meet.

I can create fun and interactive projects with the new apps that the laptop model has the capability of downloading. Now we are doing hybrid learning so it's so much easier to do split screen to do an Epic Read Aloud or a Go Noodle Activity and Google Meet >no more using my chromebook and Ipad together.

I cannot thank you enough for this amazing and generous donation that will make teaching my little ones so much more engaging and fun for all.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Padilla

My students are these funny, witty and hardworking individuals who were thrown in this distance learning adventure just like every child in America. What we didn’t know was that it would be this long. The laptop I had in my class which I took home was a very old model that cannot provide me with the updates I need to make our google classroom engagements fun and exciting for each of my students learning needs. The MacBook would enhance every lesson I provide my kids and can keep me connected to them during the summer months when I will be their link to school news and upcoming activities.
