• Helping With The Basics

  Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to help members of our school community.

  With these resources we have been able to provide much needed basic supplies to our children and even to their families.

  Because of this effort many members of our staff were inspired by our commitment to lend a helping hand, that they have been generously bringing in more items that will benefit the students and their families.

  Our next steps will be to have a room fully stocked with everyday essentials: from soap, sanitary products, clothing and even pots and pans.

• Snack Time All Day

  Having these snacks in class have been a great addition to our day and especially during snacktime where a lot of my students don't bring anything. It has helped not only with providing a quick snack in the afternoon, but the children can feel better sitting with a friend and enjoying a treat.

  The children love the variety that we have to offer them now, before we just had the leftovers from breakfast to share now they love the applesauce, the oreos, the nutrigrains, the apple juice and the bottled water.

  We even had used some of the snacks to have a Character Day Celebration.

• Lessons to Learn

  Thank you for providing so generously to my project.

  With these new resources I am able to create exciting new lessons and activities for my little ones.

  I am able to provide my students with the opportunities to explore and learn new ideas about literacy, math, social studies, science and art.

  With these new resources we are able to showcase our work on our bulletin boards. We can incorporate other lessons that are connected to our units of study.

  We can immerse our students in the topic of the month through all areas while learning through play.”

• Science and Math Madness

  These materials will be used in our different centers, but our math and science centers in particular with more resources that make connections to different units of study.

  The materials will replace many used and worn out resources that no longer provide useful connections to our units of study.

  The materials will serve in many different ways such as connect with our Plants unit through math, science, art and literacy components.

  In the end all these resources will enhance the overall experience of the children throughout the school year in some form or another and make it a fun and exciting way to learn.”

• Classroom Supplies for Pre-K

  Funded Aug 9, 2022

  These new resources have not only provided my students a feeling of being welcomed to a new school year, but it also has made a welcoming sight for those that walk through my floor.

  We have been able to create awesome bulletin boards and classroom door decorations that send out positive messages to those that stop and read our door and board.

  With the new mini accents we have been able to create a home/school routine chart and our feelings routine chart.

  The paint brushes are getting good use in our art center along with the painting paper.

• Keeping Our Classroom Clean & Healthy

  These new resources have been a great help in maintaining our students and our classroom healthy and clean.

  We wash our hands quite a lot during the day which means we go through a lot of hand soap so we are relieved to know that we have enough supplies to last us a while.

  We also have to disinfect all tables so these resources such as the wipes and disinfecting spray are used through out the day to maintain germ free playing and eating areas for our little ones

  The hand wipes and liquid hand sanitizer are also amazing when we have to do a quick clean up of hands and faces during recess.

  All the resources are greatly appreciated in keeping our little ones clean and healthy.”

• Organizing Our Classroom Cubbies & Centers

  Funded Aug 9, 2022

  With the new resources we have been able to organize our cubbies and all our center supplies.

  We have been able to organize all our unit of studies materials where they will be easy to pick up and go.

  The mounting tape and labels have made it a snap to put up our posters and label our bins and other supplies.

  When the children saw the colorful labels, they jump for joy saying how pretty everything looks. When I gave them some of the scented stickers they were extra excited to start collecting them in their cubbies.

  With the supplies being in the bins it has helped us declutter and organize our small space.”

• Calming Cozy Corner

  Funded Aug 9, 2022

  Our calming cozy corner is a welcomed spot for my students. The books that we have in our corner have helped us all name our emotions. We also now have a variety of hands on resources that help my little ones see their emotions and understand them better.

  One book we love is The Color Monster which talks about the different colors our emotions can have and now we use the colors to express our feelings, we can be green for calm or blue for sad, yellow for happy.

  One resource that the children love are the mindful maze boards where they love to follow the maze with their fingers. Now I have little ones asking for a little green time with the boards and it helps them relax and regroup

  Because of amazing donors like yourselves, we now have an area where my little ones can retreat to when they need a break.”

• Math & Science Learning Center Kits

  Funded Jul 17, 2022

  These math and science learning center kits have been a great addition to my classroom. I showed the children the selections we had and they were super excited to begin their exploration.

  With the kits, we are able to have engaging small group activities for each of our science units and with our math kits were are able to introduce and reinforce skills the children need to develop at this developmental age.

  Now when we have center choices, the children are starting to choose science and math first because they have had such an entertaining time learning a new skill or investigating a science question.

• Goodbye Pre-K: Let's Get Ready for Kindergarten

  Thank you for giving my Pre-K students the opportunity to keep reading and learning through the summer weeks.

  These books will begin my little ones journey into loving books and help to start their own home library. The socioeconomic status of my families sometimes don't afford them the luxury of buying reading supplies for the children so it gives me great pleasure to provide them with these literacy treasures.

  My little ones love to hear me read at Circle Time and when they have center choice they go to our library and "retell/read" the stories to their friends. I'm hoping this will become a lifelong love for them.”
