  • ClassFit: The Future For Unified Sports

    Funded Apr 9, 2019

Each morning during zero period students have already begun circuit training and yoga activities. Our students are building their endurance and are looking forward to their daily exercise routine. The students were excited to receive their materials and enjoyed opening the packages and looking at the new exercise equipment. We will continue to introduce new exercises to enhance their health, endurance and self esteem. The students have really enjoyed the new activities with the medicine balls and activity ladder.”

  • New and Improved Conditioning Program for Special Needs Athletes

    Funded May 30, 2018

Words cannot express how wonderful our new exercise equipment is. Students just started practicing for soccer and the weights and yoga mats are coming in very handy. When our students walk the track they are walking with either one or two pound weights in addition to using the weights during the exercise videos. The students were very excited to open all the boxes containing the weights and yoga mats.

The students were over joyed to see the multiple shipments of resources delivered to our classroom. They were eager to open the boxes and create an area solely for the exercise equipment. The day the yoga mats were delivered to the classroom, my students asked to use the yoga cards the district provided us last year.

The current lesson coincides with soccer training and strength training. Walking around the track and exercising to the videos with the small weights are building their muscles and endurance. The yoga mats allow the students to learn first hand how to decompress and relax the body for a duration of time. We are truly grateful for the resources we received.”

  • School Supplies to Reach Academic Success!

    Funded Nov 1, 2017

My students truly loved their non fiction comprehension question cards which covered data charts and cause and effect. We are working on using the Thesaurus to improve upon the definition aspect of their vocabulary words. My students were happy to unpack all their new supplies and learning activities. They put them away in their designated supply drawers and added boxes of crayons, colored pencils and erasers to their student pencil boxes.

Currently, we have small groups because my students skills vary and my students whose academics are at a kinder level are very excited to try the games in the instant learning games library. In addition, the new maps are helping students locate places mentioned during classroom reading activities.”

  • Operation Organize

    Funded Feb 13, 2017

Our students are very happy with the new resources in the classroom. In the morning, one student volunteers to come and read "All About Today." On the other side of the chart stand is the monthly calendar, which we use to prepare for activities for the month. The projector screen is a wonderful addition. We use a WII in class to promote team building and improve their social skills. The new screen has improved their ability to play and socialize.

The students were over whelmed when the new resources were delivered. They unpacked the boxes and checked off the supplies on the packaging slip. My students are looking forward to using the file folder games during their independent class time. The file folders are high interest materials that will keep them excited about learning.

One of the main focuses this year is to increase the use of centers in my classroom. The supplies donated to our class will enable my students to be more productive during center time and during independent work time. We are incredibly grateful to all our donors for supporting ”

  • Money Math, Functional Reading And So Much More!!

    Funded Dec 10, 2011

Thank you once again for supporting our classroom project. The resources provided through this project has already brought my students tremendous joy. The over sized magnetic money helps my students have a visual picture while completing their coinulator work sheets. The comprehension quickie cards are a fun activity that can be done independently or as a group assignment. These resources have not only changed the lives of my current students but will help my future students receive the education they deserve.”

  • A Mish Mosh of Cooking Supplies to Make Our Kitchen Complete

    Funded Jan 6, 2012

My students and I cannot thank you enough for your generous contributions and for taking time out of your busy schedules to donate to our project. The cooking materials donated to our classroom has made a world of difference to our classroom kitchen. Some of my students assembled the kitchen island together and it was wonderful to watch them work as a team and feel such a sense of accomplishment when they finished.

Thank you for making a difference in my students' lives and for making a difference for the future students in my classroom”

  • Colt Cooking Crew

    Funded Dec 22, 2010

Thank you for your charitable donations to my classroom. Without your generosity, my students would not be able to learn effectively how to cook for themselves and their families. From the day our boxes arrived, my students have been very excited about using our new cooking supplies. We have already used our new spatulas and spoons for making pancakes and eggs. In addition, we used our mixing bowls and measuring cups to mix and measure our pancake batter. Your donations are not only helping students this year but all the students I will have in the future.

Unfortunately, our school cannot afford to provide our classroom with these essential resources that are so desperately needed. As a result of your help, my students are now able to access the curriculum set up to meet their needs. Thank you for opening your hearts and supporting students with special needs.

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Solomon
